I'm far from an L-Series, but my little BX won't let me budge an inch with the parking brake on.

    Just got my new B2601

Nice! Welcome! You need to upgrade that spreader to a Earthway with pneumatic tires. oh, and get all that kids stuff and pack it into the basement, you're going to need that room in the garage for the attachements. I'll give you $1,000 for that wood on the saw horses. :geek:

    3 point hitch 101

Yes I'll be doing some pin substitutions. I'll leave the stock pins with cotters where they don't have to be removed every time I take off the 3 point to put on the hoe, and replacing all the pins and cotters that do get removed with those quick lock pins pic'd above. I have a bunch of those...

    3 point hitch 101

Not yet unfortunately. Took it out of the box Monday night. Last night girls softball tournament. Maybe tonight I can finish putting it together. First glance: looks very well built, very well packaged. steel cage container on a pallet, well wrapped. Took ~2 months from order to arrival. For...

    Nutgrass/Nutsedge HELP

I'm in the Northeast, but I think it's the same ingredient as the name brand sedgehammer in all the Sedge killers. It's pretty harmless, comes and goes each year. As long as it doesn't spread too thick I've leaned to mostly ignore it. Bigger patches I spray...sulfentrazone (without googling I...

Getting ready to run hydraulic hoses for grapple

Same Q as Matt, that's where mine are. Breakaway couplers? hmm Don't think I have those. My newb advice would be to watch the hoses in all situations for the first few hours. I ended up kinking mine on my bucket leveling rod.

Which Turf Tires for B2601? (LAST THING for NEW DELIVERY NOT ON HAND AT DEALER)

I opted for stock turfs on mine. I knew I was not doing any deep woods work. Sounds like your coming to the same conclusion. Being a Jeep 4x4 guy, I knew turf tires were fine with the addition of 4x4 and a diff-lock. I figure if I get it stuck with 4x4 and a rear locker I was doing something...

    3 point hitch 101

....and I mean barely 101, this might be elementary school. :( alternative title: I'm an accountant, not a farmer, more money than brains...... Question: Hooked up and used my 3 point hitch for the first time last night, why did it take me 30 minutes to attach my chipper and why is it...

Love my Toro Timecutter MX 48" with the Myride Suspension System. Much heavier duty than anything at the box store, I hope to get 12-15 years out of it at least.

    Optimum Rpm.

My bx has a cheat sheet right on the tach. In my 40+ hours I've noticed: 1) My snowblower wants/likes/needs to be run full boar. 2) It won't let me get to 4K, only 3500 max. Maybe after 75 hours or so I will open her up and find out what is governing it. PS: That is NOT me wearing loafers on...

    BX 23S class 3 + 3 point hitch

yea, I don't plan on towing any thing very far, or using it that often, but there comes a time when I'm moving trailers around the yard and such, and grabbing the tractor is easier than the truck, especially if the truck is already hooked up to something. edit, all the tounges I have now are...

    BX 23S class 3 + 3 point hitch

Newb question. BX 23 S, I have not installed or used my 3pt hitch yet, but I plan on it shortly. If I fabricate a class 3 hitch very similar to this pic, will it be in the way at all of 3pt operation? Thanks.
