Newb question.
BX 23 S, I have not installed or used my 3pt hitch yet, but I plan on it shortly.
If I fabricate a class 3 hitch very similar to this pic, will it be in the way at all of 3pt operation?
Thanks.

I'd think the only potential issue would be with your 3 point check chains. I'm unclear on how they fasten on the BX23S. My old BX23 had a plate that resided in that area to connect the three point turnbuckles.

Class 3 rcvr is ,well, kinda 'overkill' as the BX23S has a weight limit of 550#(W2 spec in the man, page 44ish). You can make the rcvr about 1.5-2" narrower than the one in the picture, should make acess to the swaychain s better. You can buy class 2 rcvrs for about $10,cheaper than buying raw steel today....

It will clear just fine. I went the easy route when I added a 2” receiver to my BX. I bought a receiver tube and welded it directly to the factory hitch plate.

yea, I don't plan on towing any thing very far, or using it that often, but there comes a time when I'm moving trailers around the yard and such, and grabbing the tractor is easier than the truck, especially if the truck is already hooked up to something.

edit, all the tounges I have now are all class 3, so figured I would stick with that.

Thanks for the input everyone.
