    Diesel type fuel

How old was the tank? Generally, no additives are used with heating oil unless requested. I use "hot shot" in my outdoor heating oil tank because it helps prevent exactly what you found. If I had to guess I'd say your tank was 20+ years old? If I decide to go with #2 for convenience of delivery...

    !5-40 Rotella oil

Not really illogical: Your talking the "Wifes" minivan verses "Your Toys". Makes perfect sense to me.............lol

    Diesel type fuel

The premium verses reg. has been covered but I'm wondering about off-road diesel (dyed, no road tax) verses #2 heating oil, also dyed, no tax and low sulfur. Is there a difference between off road diesel + #2 heating oil when it comes to using it in a tractor?

    L4701 Engine code P0118

I'd start with cleaning the connections at the sensor + the ecu. Then clear the code and go from there. If it returns replace the sensor. I use terminal cleaners similar to these...

    Pallet Fork Platform

Thanks for all the info and suggestions guys. I think I'm going to get an IBC tote to modify. I can pick one up for less then half the cost of the platform I've shown. I've also been considering IBC totes for firewood to lessen the handling time moving it from the woodshed to the house so...

    Pallet Fork Platform

Yeah, I could make one myself no problem other then the time it would take. I'd rather spend 1/3 the time at my business earning the funds to purchase one.

    Pallet Fork Platform

Great idea! Thanks. I'll have to give it some thought. It would need to be adjustable for various heights.

    Pallet Fork Platform

Thanks for all the thoughts and suggestion guys! I've considered the pros and cons of raising and lowering the platform while occupied and for the most part, at first anyhow, I'll just be using it solo. Raise up the platform to the needed level and climb up on it with a ladder. The Wife...

    Pallet Fork Platform

I'm curious how you guys feel, regarding safety, about using a fork lift pallet fork Platform on a tractor front end loader with pallet forks. I need a raised platform for some chores around my property and I've been considering one of these: Obviously it's not as safe on a tractor as it...

    Which model would you choose?

If you'll use Med or Low range there will be less whine from the HST.

    Which model would you choose?

I've got no complaints whatsoever with my L2501 HST. Creature comforts are nice on some of the pricier machines but we're talking about a machine to get work done not take a road trip in. Let us know what kind of deals they offer you.

    L4701: need help identifying leak

The best way to determine where the leak is would be to pressure wash your tractor to get the suspected area clean. clean the floor, run the tractor for a bit, see where the first drip on the underside of the tractor forms and then you should be able to pin point the leak.

    Wear Your Seat Belt

So far no early call for me even after many years as a 17 year old know it all kid, back in the 70's, on an old Ford 841 2wd, traversing hilly woods terrain dragging humongous logs for firewood. Crossing streams and climbing the bank on the other side. No seat belt, no rops, no power steering...
