    Grapple questions

I have the EA 55 and couldn't be happier. I use it for firewood processing, brush removal, and downed tree clean up.

With trees, you just have to be careful where you park............

Is a glow plug a glow plug...a glow plug?

I'd skip the aftermarket glow plugs. I also have a JD 855 tractor. I tried to cut corners on the glow plugs by buying NGK glow plugs from Napa. I had cold start issues from day one. I decided to order some JD glow plugs and that solved the issue. With the NGK's I had to keep the glow plugs on...

    6x4 UTV for sale?

Nice used Gators are out there. A few years ago I picked up an older model 6x4 in excellent garage kept condition with an upgraded 25 hp Honda V-twin engine for $2200.00

    Fuel oil

I've gotten conflicting reports when I inquire about the #2HHO in my area. My supplier claims it's not Ultra low sulfur. Others have told me #2 off road diesel + #2 HHO is all the same and is Ultra low sulfur. Obviously, someone is mistaken. I would be adding additives to either year round.

    Fuel oil

I would have to assume from the statements above, that even the old HHO #2 with higher sulfur content, "Wouldn't" harm any newer 25 + under HP engines that don't have the DPF emissions. Is that correct?

    Changing mind on oil changes

I guess we can agree to disagree. I'm not the only one who thinks excessively high oil pressure can wash out babbit bearings. Hear are some opinions from others: Too much ( high) pressure ruins as many engines as low oil pressure. Not just washing the bearings but also hard on the filter etc...

    Changing mind on oil changes

The Silliness is on you. I'm not comparing bearing types.

    Changing mind on oil changes

"GeoHorn: How So?" Overly high oil pressure can erode a rod or main bearing, from the lube hole area, where the oil enters the bearing, similar to the same way high water erodes away a stream bank. This doesn't apply to needle or ball type bearings.

    Changing mind on oil changes

When it comes to oil pressure anything over 80 psi can be harmful to the crankshaft + rod bearings.

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

The ballast box wasn't intended for a quick hitch or an L2501. It's a "get me by" for the time being and I'm not done adapting it to work better. It's a work in progress. I just slapped it on at the end of a long day.

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

A couple weeks back I spread 4 tri-axle loads of asphalt millings on my parking lot. Then rented a roller to pack it down. All that work pushed the clock just over 50 hrs so a full service was next to follow up the parking lot work. I changed all 3 filters and used the vacuum trick on the fill...

    Battery replacement, with no issues…yet.

Yeah, me too. I had several crap out within 2 years. Just under the free replacement time frame. I replaced 2 under warranty, for free, and when the third battery crapped out, still under warranty, that was the last straw. I happily "paid again" on a different brand. No more problems. They...

Reversing front wheels on Kubota B26 TLB - NO NOT DO THAT

That's true but often times the customer throws on the stock rims + tires to get the vehicle through inspection and then after they get their sticker they switch them back. The state got aware of this and now they want the inspection station, if they suspect this, to take photos of the vehicle...

    Diesel type fuel

According to my heating oil supplier a bottle of "hot Shot" with every fill up will take care of and prevent the problem with sludge as you describe it. I've been using it. The outdoor tank at my business is 23 years old with no issues. It draws fuel from a line out of the top and the fitting on...
