K100 or Power Service as diesel fuel treatment in cold weather?
From another thread, I'm switching to a product that contains a Biocide (don't wanna give algae a chance either) in addition to stabilizers and antifreeze ingredients.

Lots of people (myself included) use Power Service Diesel Fuel Supplement +Cetane Boost (white bottle) when it gets cold. Was -37C here last week... I don't like taking chances.

I use the Power Service white bottle in the winter. Seems to work well.

I'm sure there are quite a few that do the job, I use the PS because it is readily available and fairly inexpensive. If you do use it make sure you read all the instructions. It talks about the mix ratio, but then goes on to say if it is getting extra cold or if being used in a pickup vs a big rig to double it. I fell victim to that in my IDI van I used to drive.

Now I just always mix it double to be safe.

Tractor sat in its tent for 3 days in below 0*F temps. Went out the morning of the first day it was over 0* and it fired up/ran with no issue.

Out of the two, PS would be my choice. White in winter, silver in summer. They never let me down when I did use them.

IDK what that does, but I have a hunch he’s doing that in old mechanically injected motors, and I’m guessing it’s not a good idea for newer common rail diesels.
