Busy few days with the BX2200

Went to moving dirt. Spread a bunch in the garden area. Especially in the low parts. I also filled the crater from the rock pit. The tire ruts as-well as some other low areas The crater had filled up with water, so filling it was interesting

Busy few days with the BX2200

The BX has earned its keep the past week. First I had an area of the yard that had been where the farmers piled their rocks. No mater how many bucket fulls I pulled out they were never ending. Ended up using the FEL and digging down about 2ft to get them all out. I also had a few ruts in the...

Converting from Lug bolts to lug nuts on my BX2200

I don’t do it a ton, but I have a set of turf tires and a set of AG tires. Depends on the work I am doing with it. I pulled the rear tire off to do my hydraulic service this year. Front tires aren’t nearly as bad, but I had to swap out to my turfs when I noticed a leaking valve stem on my AG.

Converting from Lug bolts to lug nuts on my BX2200

From a quick glance it appears they can be threaded in from the backside.

Converting from Lug bolts to lug nuts on my BX2200

So one of the biggest pains I run in to when messing with my BX2200 is that the tires use lug bolts instead of lug nuts. It makes mounting difficult since I have to try and hold the tire, line it up and thread in the bolt. Have people converted these to use studs and lug bolts? Any drawbacks on...

BX 2200 PTO lever not moving

Any pics or can you describe where you lubricanted. After reading this I took a the PTO linkage on my BX2200. Looks like it starts on the “Drivers side” rear wheel area and then goes under the gas tank. Figured lubricating it would be good preventative maintenance.

BX 2200D w/FEL new to me....

For 5 acres it will be great. That is what I have and the BX seems to be a great size for it.

BX 2200D w/FEL new to me....

Besides digging with the FEL (which isn't always the easiest) I was also able to drive in the metal fence posts around my garden......along with clearing the area of brush, leveling with a box blade and tilling it too. Looking back through my pics I realize I have way too many of my tractor...

BX 2200D w/FEL new to me....

Actually neither. I used the FEL to dig down around the stump and expose the roots. Then we used the pressure washer to clean out the dirt between the roots so we could cut or rip them. Worked pretty well, but I can't take credit for the idea. A member on here recommended it to me. Clean up...

BX 2200D w/FEL new to me....

You will be able to do all kinda of stuff with the BX and FEL when you get the hang of it. Here are some Pics for you. My land used to be farm ground so there was a spot that rocks had been dumped. Moved a bunch of bucket fulls, but finally used the loader to dig down below the rocks and will...

BX 2200D w/FEL new to me....

I have the same tractor. Purchased it about a year and a half ago shortly after I moved to my current property. It has been great so far. Adding a toothbar and box blade is on my short list. Defiantly use some ballast when doing heavier FEL work. It is pretty easy to get up on 3 wheels. Also...

    Loaders' first job !

The loader on my BX is great. There are times when I wish the tractor was bigger and loader had more power, but I always seem to be able to get the job done. Clearing brush and small trees that had totally enclosed my pond. Instead of having to cut them in to smaller manageable sizes to haul...

    Fitting a Kubota BT602 Backhoe to a BX2200

On their site it says the BH65 is compatible with the BX2200 and come with a subframe. Did you already have access to the Kubota backhoe?

    Fitting a Kubota BT602 Backhoe to a BX2200

I would be interested in how you hooked it up to your BX2200. I have a BX2200 also and would love to have a backhoe at some point. Did you fabricated a subframe support for it?

    Filter source for maintenance

Thanks. I will hit up my local dealer. I drive past them on the way home from work, so not a big deal top stop

    Filter source for maintenance

Hi all, I plan on an oil and hydraulic filter/fluid service on my BX2200 this spring before it gets to be mowing/outside project time. I found the original Kubota part numbers for the oil and hydraulic filters. Do you have any recommendations on where to source them? I can order them off Amazon...

    Larger bore cylinders on FEL?

First thing to do would be to check the hydraulic pressure and then add some shims to increase the pressure if it isn’t already at the upper limits. There are plenty of threads talking about the safe pressure limits for the BX. This is what I did to increase my lifting and curl force. BXpanded...

New guy here, FEL digging question

If I can do it/try to do it without too much injure risk to myself or damage risk to my machine I would absolutely try it. These kind of things is why I purchased my BX. It is versatile and can do many things. It won't do them as quickly as a purpose built machine, or even a larger...
