    LA211 loader

Sorry it took longer. Here are a couple of pics. Tough to get a good one with the tire on.

    LA211 loader

I will see if I can get one tonight. Mine is my first tractor too. Got it 2 years ago. I have found that it is pretty easy to work on and that overall parts aren't too expensive.

    Fellow country-folk. Starlink

T-Mobile is functional in my area (depending on what your definition of functional is). I have a directional antenna mounted on a 10 ft pole on top of my roof. I can usually get 2-3 bars. Problem is there is only one tower close enough for a signal and the ONLY current option in my area is a...

    LA211 loader

I have a BX2200 with a LA211 FEL. I will have to look and see if I have a picture of my block. Hard for me to tell from your pic, but is it just different models of hydraulic blocks? I wonder if any of the blocks would work/fit on the BX2200, just lines hook up differently to them.

    Fellow country-folk. Starlink

I put my deposit down a while back. Unfortunately not scheduled to expand in my area until 2023. I almost put a deposit down 2 years ago. If I had I would already have it.....kicking myself. For now I am stuck with a data router and a directional antenna on my roof. Works okay, but requires...

Storm Cleanup and hung up limbs

Thanks It fits my needs pretty well. Current plan is to keep it/maintain it until it or I die....... Always have stuff I need to add to it though. Tooth bar, SSQA adapter etc. That is what makes it fun

Storm Cleanup and hung up limbs

I know they have bolt on forks that hook to my bucket. I have also considered converting my FEL setup from the pin on bucket to the SSQA. I would really like the SSQA. I just have to decide if I am keeping the BX until it dies or if I am going to eventually move up to a different machine. If...

Storm Cleanup and hung up limbs

Could be, I am not sure what all the rules/guidelines are for the Amish in my area. I know it varies area by area and bishop by bishop.

Storm Cleanup and hung up limbs

Yep.They use it all the time on their cattle farm. Not sure how all that works.

Storm Cleanup and hung up limbs

I like the receiver on the front. I was considering adding one to mine and then running power for a winch…..probably one of those things I will never get around to though.

Storm Cleanup and hung up limbs

I might get the at some point. I have a number of other trees to take down this fall that are half rotten.

Storm Cleanup and hung up limbs

Yeah, I know yanking on things with the loader is not a "best practice" since you can tweak/bend the arms. In this situation I ran the chain through the loop in the strap and lined up so it would pull evenly. Also, it took almost no force at all to pull the limb down once I had cut all the...

Storm Cleanup and hung up limbs

Small limbs etc go back to the big burn pile at the back of the property. One of these days I will get some forks or a grapple, but for the time being it is a chain and some of Ken's bolt on hooks. Stack the limbs together, lay out the chain and then use the FEL to roll the pile of brush over...

Storm Cleanup and hung up limbs

I clear snow in the winter, but definitely not 4'. Usually 4-5 times a winter I have to clear the drive and the road in front of the house. Used to be a lot more often then that, but recently we aren't getting as much. I do need to add some ROP lights before next winter though. Headlights...

Storm Cleanup and hung up limbs

Hi All, Had some storms roll through the area and as usual it means downed trees/limbs etc. As long as there are no injuries or big property damage, it is always fun to help out with my BX, chainsaw etc. Figured I would share some pics. I live on a dead end country road, so we pretty much take...

1.33 acres, heavily wooded and overgrown... Need advice on a tractor purchase!

The BX or B would do what you need. If there is only about a 10% difference for the B and you have access to both, I would go with it. Just a little more versatility and attachment options. As far as the "necessary" comment, I would say 2 things. 1. You can dig a 10 ft hole with a metal...

Tell me what NOT to do!

Having rear ballast is great. I worked without it for a little while before I picked up my box scraper. Had to be extra careful and it limited what I could do. Now if I am doing any real FEL work I always hook up the box blade too. Go slow and try and be very aware of what is around you...

1.33 acres, heavily wooded and overgrown... Need advice on a tractor purchase!

My BX has worked well for my needs and can accomplish a lot with some creative thinking. It is true that I have done some jobs with it that I could have done quicker with a bigger tractor or by renting a purpose built machine (mini-excavator), but I enjoy the tractor work and even though it took...

1.33 acres, heavily wooded and overgrown... Need advice on a tractor purchase!

If you do a "Build your own" on a comparably equipped BX vs a B, the difference looks to be in the $1000-2000 range. When you are talking about spending $20-25k, the difference is pretty small. If I were buying new or if I found a similarly equipped BX and B for only a 10% price difference I...

1.33 acres, heavily wooded and overgrown... Need advice on a tractor purchase!

Thanks. I have put quite a few hours on it since I got it. I have been happy with its performance. If you go with a BX I would recommend the higher HP one. Others will correct me if I am wrong, but I believe the higher HP one should give you more PTO HP. This would give you a few more options...
