    Good for a laugh

Thanks. Yeah, I'm not too upset about it. If I got mad or beat myself up for every stupid thing I did I would be pissed all the time......:) I learned some stuff and got to work outside all day.......and I figured some others might get a chuckle out of it. Plus now I can honestly tell the...

    Good for a laugh

Thanks for the info. I was just thinking about what size winch I would want to get. A smaller one would be fine for my BX, but I am also thinking about how I would use it on my vehicle (Excursion).

That is the same kind of setup I was thinking. For using it, did you upgrade the battery or charging system on your BX?

    Good for a laugh

That is the setup I was looking at. I liked the idea of the hitch receiver allowing it to be moved from vehicle to vehicle easily when needed

Its supposed to get back down to 29* this coming weekend. I was thinking about getting a winch that I could use in the future.

Sounds like a good rule. On the bright side I got to spend all day outside on the first warm day here.

    Good for a laugh

3rd spring, but first time rolling with the BX and first time getting anything stuck. Definitely a lesson learned. 75-80% of the yard was fine. Soft, but not where I would sink or tear it up rolling. Need to spend a little more time walking the property looking for these soft spots before I get...

    Good for a laugh

Lucky for me there was no doghouse. Wife just kinda shook her head and then asked how she could help.......of course this was after she razzed me, took lots of pics and sent them to all her friends. I did find is pretty ironic that I was trying to smooth out the yard and only succeeded in...

    Good for a laugh

So it was 71* last Saturday and with the rain/snow melting my yard was pretty soft. I figured it was good conditions to roll it. I still had the turf tires on the BX2200, but thought to myself "It'll be fine"..... Well, obviously it wasn't. I was rolling along fine and then hit an extra soft...

    Mowing with a Bx

I have a BX2200 with a 60" MMM and mow about 2.5 acres of my 5 along with some trails through the rest. Have few trees, but not a ton. My area is old farm ground that I am working on smoothing out. It is not terrible, but I cant mow as fast as my BX could due to the bumps. If all I was doing...

    Front snow blade

I have never used a front mounted snow blade to spread soil. Not sure how well you could push a pile of dirt. I have always used a front end loader and then a box/rearblade. If a FEL is an option for you it sounds like that would probably be your best route.

    Front snow blade

That is the way most snow plows are setup, but definitely not the only way. Just limited to your imagination and fabrication ability. Besides snow, what are you trying to “plow”?

Is there a manual way to lift bucket on broken down Kubota?

Yep. That is whyI asked about jumping the starter. That would tell a lot about what might be the actual issue.

Is there a manual way to lift bucket on broken down Kubota?

What happens if you jump the starter with a wire to bypass the starter relay. My BX2200 had intermittent starting issues. Over time resistance built up in the starting circuit and there would be too much voltage drop to pull in the starter relay. A fairly common issue. I added my own relay and...

Anyone else get excited about snow?

I wasn’t really paying attention, but not too long. Best guess, To do just the parking areas shown in the pics I would say probably about 45 minutes. I also would do the road in front of my property and our back patio, so that would add about 30 more minutes. The road was the easiest since I...
