    Lx2610 rattle

Sounds alright to me. Better ears than mine will have to distinguish the rattle.

    Pullin stuff

My money is on the tractor. It might hardly break a sweat. 4WD (if that’s what the “F” means) and diff lock will help. That little old Luv is about to get rehomed. If it really stuck and the Luv is scrap, loosen it up by using the FEL to pick up each end (or at least one end and give it a...

    Lookng at purchasing a 2010 L5240 tech question/opinion

I just looked at your location, not that I know about New Zealand, but you mentioned availability a couple times, I think I understand why. You’re right, it’s nice to have a nice tractor. My first one was about 25 years old when our family got an old Ford 8N. I bought it from my Dad and stopped...

    Summit Hydraulics

I just watched this video, admittedly without sound. I’m wondering if the wiring harness includes either a fuse or an on/off switch? Thanks.

    Lookng at purchasing a 2010 L5240 tech question/opinion

Got ya! But a man can never have too big a tractor shed. And…the GLs do have a mid PTO, or at least the provision for a module to be bolted on that finishes out the mid-PTO. I do believe Big K makes/made MMM for them too. Something to think about. Trade the B for an F and do tractor things with...

    Lookng at purchasing a 2010 L5240 tech question/opinion

Only one trip around Paul. If you want a GL and it’s feasible, get one. I like my B, I really like my GL and it’s more than 15 years older. Justification? You wanted it and you could make it happen. Will it to your young neighbor/friend when your done.

Enjoy the new tractor! Let us know how it holds up.

    Chainsaw safety

A sad story that’s a stark reminder of why taking safety seriously and the appropriate precautions is important every time cell phone or not. The electrician replacing light fixtures in the ER should still take appropriate precautions even though help is seconds away. Unless one likes taking...

    Third function for B2601/LA435

Also looks like the Kubota kit takes the hydro lines under the tractor from the right side to the left side. I’d do a hard pass on that myself.

    Bucket TLC

Wow. Probably ought to remove the trailing hook next time.

    Bucket TLC

I just hang my chains inside to keep them from rusting. I inherited/found the rusty ones hanging there. I’ve used rusty chains, but I don’t like it, so those are the last ones I use.

    Third function for B2601/LA435

I’ve got the Land Pride 380-152A on my L. I like it. No 3rd function on my B. The cleanest install will be the one you personally install, because no one else will care as much as you do about your equipment. If you’re pretty sure you’ll use the rear remotes, the Summit kit sounds good. A bit...

    L series side panels

Good eye. Other than the sticker and radiator drain notch, I think you’re right, they are all the same part. I suspect you’ll have one shortly with your efforts.

    Chainsaw safety

PPE is a bit like a seat belt. You should wear it when the hazard exists, since no one plans to be in the hospital with a chain saw injury. My chaps have saved me two such trips in the last couple decades. 20 years or 70 years experience, it only takes once. And the ERs see those folks...

    L series side panels

Might be able to find someone on here to compare measurements with. Seems like there’s a fellow that posts occasionally with a B boneyard that also has a few Ls? I think I saw such a post two or three weeks ago. Or maybe it was another member that posted in the B thread about having some scrap...

    l3560hst loader counter weight

If the goal includes not sinking in the mud, then less is more. A 300 lb box blade would work. As will your 650 ballast box. As will an 1800 lb backhoe (which might help dig you out if you get stuck).

Spring Tooth Rake Showed Up Scratched

Nailed it. As stated in the initial post. it’s actually made for “pine straw” (needles).

Spring Tooth Rake Showed Up Scratched

First post covers most of those. Shipping was included in the price and it took about 10 days. Actual vendor name was YITAMOTOR, I suspect just one of thousands of middlemen for made in China products. It wasn’t EA.

    l3560hst loader counter weight

Yes, unfortunately with CaCl. I need to get that changed out. As far as offsetting the leverage of the loaded FEL bucket with ballast behind the rear axle, math will get you there. I’m not sure what you could pick up that would need 1500 lbs of ballast. The bucket capacity is about 11 cubic...
