    Expecting a problem next door....

If there was/is a house on that lot currently, it should have a septic system. If it’s a traditional gravity system, it could be as easy as them putting their discharge into the clean out of that system. Although that might mean dragging black water tanks around occasionally depending on parking...

    Expecting a problem next door....

Dont know the water source situation there, but if indeed sewage is being dumped into a sink hole, it could contaminate local wells.

    L-47 vs L4060

Impressive excavation and trenching work you’ve done with your B. If you end up with that L47, I can only imagine what you’ll get done. As to the 4WD lever placement, if it’s like my L, on the left side just above the floor, indeed, sometimes I do pop mine out of 4WD with the toes of my left...

    Who would have thought??

Whoda guessed that wouldn’t turn out well. In November of 2020 (full speed Covid era) the majority of the voters in Oregon thought this would be a good idea too. It turned out horribly. What a surprise. The current Governor has decided to unilaterally (with support of enough of the...

L4060 HST oil filter change 50hr

On my B, I was a little slower and IIRC, it was nearly two quarts I spilled at the 50 hour service. My shop vac died just before I spun the filter off, lol. Maybe next time.

    Elder Care

I’ll be watching this. My parents have been gone for over a decade, but the in-laws are at this stage. They are very stubborn, won’t leave the hillside they live on and move 5 miles to one of two of the rentals they own on flat ground. Neither can walk without a walker. Neither can get...

    Stuck!

Probably time to stop driving rubber tired equipment into that mud hole.

    Buying first Kubota (used)

Congratulations! You will find all sorts of labor saving usages on a little plot of land. Backhoes are spendy and they can be a bit hard on the tractor, but I hear once you have one, you’ll always “need” one. Be careful. Even with a few trips around the sun, there’s sone things to learn about...

    Am i missing something?

Congratulations. Glad it’s worked out amicably. initially I thought “Why is there a partial set of extra tines in the background?” Then I realized this is the happy resolution of a mistaken shipment. It’s great when a company will do the right thing. It’s certainly the exception anymore.

L3130 HST Tractor no electrical power

Thanks for coming back to share what the root cause was. Too bad it cost you some unnecessary parts swapping. But now you’ve got back ups.

Z421 60" deck with play in one spindle

OP, Did the bearings in OP, First, good on you for tearing into yourself. I see you have a lift, so my guess is you’re more skilled than you're giving yourself credit for. Secondly, did the bearings you pulled out have seals on both sides? If so, is there a zerk fitting in either the spindle...

Diesel engine sucked up water! Now what?

Well then, that might explain why folks mention the cost of it at times. That’s Wonderfull. I’ll wait for the OP to let us know it’s covered.

    L4701 HST Hydraulic fluid

This screaming, could it be considered a whine? That’s what I hear on the HST Kubota CUTs when operated in High range (pretty much only for transit) or with too much load in Medium range. Really have to get aggressive (abusive?) to get much of a whine in Low range with the half dozen Kubota HST...

Another option might be a thin nylon washer on each side of the bracket.

Diesel engine sucked up water! Now what?

Hello Kubota? I’d like to file a claim on my hydolocked RTV. How? My FIL drove it into the creek. Denied? Why? Oh, damage due to operator abuse isn’t covered. If the conversation lasted that long.

Diesel engine sucked up water! Now what?

Pretty easy fix. FIL drops about $21k plus fees and taxes for a new one at the local Kubota dealer, hands you the keys to it and enjoys his new submarine, however he’d like, running or otherwise. Might piss off the wife. But I’m sure your FIL knows as soon as you barrow someone’s equipments...

I’m pretty certain you’ll know you’ve got over 500 lbs hanging off the front of the BX. I know I can feel it on my L.

    (SOLD) 2007 KUBOTA L5030 HSTC FOR SALE-$27,500

Congrats! Someone got a nice machine. IIRC $27.5k was nearly the price new back in the mid-2000’s. Outside of inflation/depreciation eating up about $16.5k of the mid-2000s value, that’s a decent per hour capital cost of about $16/hr.

    Tractor Disasters and Owner Abuse

I suspect that 13 took a nap within the first handful of hours of operation. Those R14s do load up with just about any moisture on the surface and they are pretty worthless after that. Same as my B.
