Anyone have experience with "North American Implements" grapples?

Sure. Here you go. The lines on the grapple exit on the left side. I set up my 3rd function on the right side of the FEL. The hydraulic hoses are plenty long to connect to the 3rd function on my application. I have to use a bungee cord to manage the excess line. The n my grapple, it looks like...

Ok, let’s see photos by the weekend then. Have a safe trip and make sure you secure it properly to a good trailer towed with a good truck, both with good brakes.

best tool for taking a bit of sideslope out of a farm trail

I’d just use the FEL. I built a 14’ wide, 200’ long path crossing a slope with my L. The cut ended up being about 2’ high. Took me about 3 or 4 hours. The cut material went on the fill side. Your need is about 5% that much earth work. You just need a low spot to start the first bucket full. Do...

No Looky yet then. Sounds like you’ve been and will be busy for a bit. I think you’re fortunate no one got it ahead of you. If I knew of that deal on my side of the Cascades, I’d buy it just to have it. Probably is a good guy. I’ve bought many vehicles and trailers from private parties...

Exactly what fried1765. Put some money down on it ASAP and get it locked up. Ok, I see you did. Good job! That guys shop looks like a showcase. He collects stuff and doesn’t use it too much or hard.

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

Hedge you call it. Those look like trees. Is that area an old orchard? Is hedge a kind of tree? On my side of the county a hedge is a tight grouping of bushes that are planted in a line and maintained as a privacy screen. Sometimes fast growing narrow evergreen trees are used.

I agree I’d rather have the option than not, and since I only have one right leg, the cutting brakes on my L are of no use. But my B has them in the right place (left side) and I’ve yet to use them, other than to confirm they work. These CUTs turn so sharp as it is, I just don’t have any need...

my EV crystal ball was right, again

Seems like some of the talking heads on YouTube reported that Ford was done with EVs late last year? Myself, I see EVs as the future, so far in the future I won’t see it. As soon as EVs have to compete on a level playing field, it will be over for a while.

I hope he bought it already. No way that deal would last more than a few days. If it was here, I buy it to get a couple more attachments and sell the tractor and FEL. It’d fetch $20k over here pretty easy. Or maybe I’d have another tractor. My opinion is a modern HST tractor has little need for...

Whats the go to grapple now that EA is out of business?

Yup, most of us only own one grapple and sort of like what we own. That said, here’s a link to my thoughts on my CID grapple when a question similar to yours was asked a while ago. I think it checks all your boxes, except the tines aren’t serrated. Griz’s CID Grapple Info

    Am i missing something?

If you’re going to do anything, mistakes will be made. What separates the men from the boys is how those mistakes are addressed (and prevented in the future). Looks like this situation is headed in a good direction.

    Who knew that princess Auto...

Stiffness attracts load. You couldn’t reasonably put a “strong/stiff” reinforced concrete structure in place to accept the load. A proper fender system would be flexible and probably sustain a significant amount of damage itself and be designed to deflect the load vs take it all on the chin...

    Am i missing something?

Yes, I’d say you’re missing about six holes in the right spot. Frustrating, especially for such a simple implement. Fingers crossed the manufacturer makes it right, whatever the two of you agree that is.

I think I've made my retirement decision....

Funny. My Dad told me that. I might have shared it here. I fully concur with the sentiment. I’m “officially” retired for one employer, but I’m still working, mostly the hours I want, when and where I want. For another employer, that sells my labor back to the previous employer with a “wee bit”...

    Steering brakes on a bx2360

Sure, those are the typical reasons to use cutting brakes on any tractor. With 4WD and w/ or w/o diff lock and a very short wheel base and pretty short turning radius, since now I’m thinking about it, is there much to be gained on a BX? 1, maybe 2 ft reduction in the turning radius in 2WD, no...

    Need a project...L245DT

Well you’ve had enough time to drive up there and load it up. What do you think of it? Another fellow on here is doing pretty good with the paint job rebuilds, so it can be done with time, elbow grease and a few cans of Rustoleum orange.

    Steering brakes on a bx2360

On our old 8N, we somewhat regularly used the cutting brakes (no 4WD, no power steering). On my Kubota HST L and B , I very rarely use the brakes at all, other than to set the parking brake. I’ve had the L about 18 years and never used the cutting brakes (of course both brake pedals are in the...
