    location of 3rd function controller?

Right. Too bad you have to modify due to design defects right out of the gate with a very costly machine. Funny thing, if you look on the inside of the vertical loader arm on the right side, there are several threaded holes, which is where the disconnect bracket was mounted prior to the 60...

Spring Tooth Rake Showed Up Scratched

Should do the trick for my intended usage as long as the teeth don’t snap off or some such nonsense. I’ll report back once I knock the shine off.

Spring Tooth Rake Showed Up Scratched

All the parts were in the box still and if I’d mounted all the springs, there’d be no left over parts. As it is, I have 13 “extra” spring teeth and bolts.

L3560 HST transmission drain points .

Odd that the operators manual for my tractor called it out as an HST drain. Because it was. I’m familiar with the drain with the split pin weep hole for the clutch housing. That wasn’t it. Do you have access to the manual for the OP’s tractor? Looks like it. We do agree on the need to drain the...

agrigulture hydraulic disconnect for third funtion?

Congrats. I’ve got a CID grapple as well. My vendor asked me which fittings I wanted. I went with Agg/Pioneer style. One female, one male, so the grapple will always function the same way with the joy stick. I’ve got flat face couplers on my little B. They just don’t inspire confidence with me...

L3560 HST transmission drain points .

The operators manual should show where all the plugs are. My 30 series GL has 4 HST drain plugs. Two on the belly of the main gear case. None came out of the forward one with a recessed Allen drive on mine. There are at least two more on yours that should yield fluid, the bottom of the portal...

I was worried I was expecting way to much out of such a small tractor.

That’s a sharp looking 1980 machine. Someone loved it. I see it has R14 rear tires and ribbed (sort of) front tires. You might look into the stock tire sizes and made sure it has tires that maintain the stock diameter ratio between rear and front tires to avoid stressing the gears in higher...

    l3560hst loader counter weight

650 lbs is plenty. A few hundred pound back blade would probably be fine.

    Steering brakes on a bx2360

Well, upgrading to a B2601 would do it. But, seriously, if you do figure it out, I’m sure there’s a few BX owners that would be interested. Good luck with it.

    location of 3rd function controller?

Bummer that’s how Big K is outfitting the L60 series. Take a look at the FEL line disconnects sticking further than anything else on the right side. Waiting to be slid into a tree or post and ripped of to the stock location of the 3rd function valving, it could not be worse if they had planned...

    Lookng at purchasing a 2010 L5240 tech question/opinion

I believe you mentioned they do not know why the original HST gear went gunnybag. So…I don’t suppose anyone knows for sure it wasn’t a minor manufacturering error in the original case everything got put back into. Probably a very low chance of that, probably a little bit lower than the HST...

Spring Tooth Rake Showed Up Scratched

Should I return it?:ROFLMAO: Really it’s got dozens of scratches, but I’m kidding about returning it. I know we all like our new stuff shiny when we get it, I’m making light of that. I got this to see if I can rake up twigs and branches smaller than my wrist, but not pick up too much pine...

    Lookng at purchasing a 2010 L5240 tech question/opinion

You’re welcome. Good luck with the decision. I lurked here for a while before I joined. The general caliber of the responses is one of the reasons I joined. Every once in a while things get of track, but that’s part of what happens when there is a diverse group of folks participating. We all...

    Lookng at purchasing a 2010 L5240 tech question/opinion

I have a hard time believing that 40 and 60 series internal HST parts are directly replaceable in a 40 series case. I’d pass myself. Take a look at both 30 and 40 series Ls if you want at an upgrade from your 00. Finding one with under 1000 hrs isn’t too terribly hard, but it might take a bit to...

    Kubota electric tractor

So it’s autonomous but still needs a human to hookup the top link? I doubt it will happen other than on tax payer supported ventures. The EV craze is past its prime, soon it will have to support itself on its own merit and that will be the end for now.

At this point you’ll need that plug in your hand to figure it out. Or just leave it as is.

    L3800HST Price check

SWAG, presuming good condition and nice looking paint, $20k give or take a couple/few thousand. $25k if you don’t mind sitting on it for a long time, $15k if you want to sell it immediately.

    Oil pan Plug thread size

Indeed 0.536” is 13.6 mm, not 14.3 mm (which I incorrectly stated initially). You are correct. Seems like you’ve got a real oddball plug tread.

One last ride on his 4020

I’ll bet his buddies built the platform. Those are true friends. I hope he got one last turn at the wheel too.

    Oil pan Plug thread size

Better test, run the plug into the non flared side of your dies or into known nuts. No need have a tap bugger the thread in the pan. YMMV.
