    which mfr for grapple?

Probably the most important criteria is weight. Make sure you get a grapple that is well balanced with strength and weight. EA does a good job of paying close attention to this on CUTs. There are other brands, but I would always do a direct comparison with EA. Personally for a B2650 I would...

    Backhoe for L2501 Questions

I doubt you will have issues with the rears filled. If anything they will provide more weight stabilization for using the BH. The most important thing is to go slow and learn how to use it. 1. I dont recommend much stump digging. Backhoes are meant to dig dirt. If you do stumps...look up...

Bringing the L260P back to life!

Our trucks are almost identical. I think we even have the same tool box. Nice choice! Love the tractor as well!

rear blade- 6 way or 3 way

Agree. The best way to do it is figure out the max angle you will use the blade at, then make sure that width is wider than your rears. In most cases this is at least 1 foot wider.

rear blade- 6 way or 3 way

I have a hydraulic angle blade coupled with a Top and Tilt kit on mine. Yes I will have to manually swing the boom if necessary, but all other functions are hydraulic. This was the best compromise for me.

    Ratchet Rake for root clearing

How big and tough are these roots? Are we sure a 1500 lb machine with multiple scarifiers in a BB is going to have enough force to dig them up? I guess if we are only going 1-2 inches down...but what if it is a bigger root just below the surface, or a small stump?

Buying a used tractor with no maintenance records

I would say stick to new. Used is for your second or third machine IMO. You will have so much more knowledge, you are much less likely to get taken advantage of. That said, if you do your homework and learn all about what to check I am sure there are success stories.

    MX5800 for moving hay

All great points. Would you also recommend the M5660 or M6060 at a minimum?

    MX5800 for moving hay

How high do you need to lift them? 1800 is a stout bale! 5x6 I am guessing? The LA1065 loader is rated for 2200 lbs max height at the pins...but with bales you are usually quite a bit forward of them so it will be less. If you need to stack 2 high, it may be an issue. Also why pay for...

    B26 vs l3560 vs kx033-4

Yes, the expense is exactly what led me to the M62. I was considering a KX040...but at $60k I just decided to get the full TLB which is a great deal more flexible. With the BH off of the B26, you still have a B series size machine. Weight will be around 3000 lbs with no fluids or filled...

    B26 vs l3560 vs kx033-4

Oh and now that you mentioned trailering it and potentially doing jobs offsite...dont forget insurance and that you may want to consider a U series as they are Zero swing...much less likely to hit something in tighter spots.

    B26 vs l3560 vs kx033-4

We aren't moving to the property permanently for another 4 years. We do get snow, but it melts fairly fast with our Sun at 8600ft. The jury is still out on the cab. I may add something to it to get by in the winter, but without a doubt having open station thus far is a huge benefit. I am...

    B2601 and Firewood

Yes, but its like saying I “can” dig a 200 ft long 3ft deep trench with a shovel. Certainly it is a capable machine, but let’s not get carried away :)

    Section 179 Taxes

Yes, the K-1. You can sell bead bracelets on eBay that you make in your living room and that is still a business. If you buy a table and supplies to support said business, they are business expenses and can be recorded on the K-1 and passed over to your 1040 (essentially as a deduction).

    Labor charges

It is probably more accurate for you to check other area dealers (even if non Kubota) for their service labor rate. That will give you a far better idea. Rates can vary significantly by region and state.
