aux fuse box on a bx

I pulled the 'ignition on' power for a similar application from the rear work lights connections. Mostly because I knew where they were. When I get time, I'll trace them back closer to my control switch and tap in there. Nothing wrong with leaving the aux panel hot as long as your rememberer...

    B2650/Cab - Front Wiper Motor???

PHPaul You might try pulling the wiper arm off the shaft and running the wiper. If the shaft waves back and forth without hesitation you may have gotten lucky and stripped the splines off the zinc/aluminum arm and hopefully not the brass splined shaft. Otherwise, either it's shucked teeth off...

Got a LARGE pizza you want to cut?

You said you designed this with 3D CAD. Have you done your due diligence and ran an FEA analysis to actually determine the stress placed on the top link? Have you considered the dynamic loading forces? It's your tractor and you do with it as you wish. But, these people are only trying to save...

    BX Snow Cab

Reamer, If you use the "Search" tab near the top of the screen type in "posting photos" in the search field. About 2/3 of the way down the page will be a thread "posting photos" by captmikem. The second post of that thread wills splain how to post pictures. I'm social media challenged, no...

Burn Carhart's????? Isn't that sacrilege??? Thanks. My cab ain't no Orange snow-pushin' Pope Mobile but, I'm happy with how it turned out. I did get some seat time with the heater the other week clearing off several inches of Slurpy that got dropped on us. Sure was nice to be in shirt...

    Kubota B2650 Cab Fabrication

I think this has to be one of the nicest compliments I've ever received! Thanks. BTW, as for the servant position, I understand the working conditions are terrible, projects take way longer to complete than expected and the boss is a real 455H0LE! hee hee:rolleyes: Good to hear your design...

Wow! Great job, easy off, excellent visibility and under 4 bills:D:D Excellent job of sealing up your gaps. Only fault might be not having a wiper on your rear window. Enjoy the snow Regards

Welcome to the forum. Your cab's looking good. So, for your easy off design, you'll remove in sections? I may be getting ahead but, I got stumped on door latches for by BX cab or rather lack of real estate for the catch until my better half suggested magnets. Looking forward to seeing your...

Reamer, That's great! You might want to start a new thread on your build. And, don't forget to include pictures.:D Regards

    BX Snow Cab

Reamer, Sides angle in about 3" at the top ~3degrees. The front is 5" narrower than the back. Windshield lays back at a 13 degree angle which allows me to reach the switches from the seat with my T-Rex arms. I think any amount will provide a pleasing appearance and not end up looking like a...

    BX Snow Cab

Reamer, Note that my front and rear windows are held closed with a friction knob, see attached. Only the doors are held closed with rare earth permanent magnets. Regards.

    BX Snow Cab

Chim, That's the exact path I was heading down, until realized I hadn't accounted for a catch surface on the frame. Thank goodness my 'better half' provided me with the magnetic catch solution. Guess I'll have to find a use for my toolbox latches on a future project. Regards

    BX Snow Cab

Bearbait, Thanks! I guess I don't do half bad afterall, considering I can't half see to weld anymore. Just bout have to stick my nose in the puddle if you know what I mean. That little stinker (2 1/2yo) is definitely a 'grandma's girl' except the 10-15 minutes she'll spend on 'her tractor' :D...

Bringing On The Heat: Well, I got tired of waiting on my brass SAE fittings to show up, so I buttoned things up as best I could in order to be able to enjoy heat for any future snow cleanup this winter. I'll install said fittings and hard plumb the heater lines inside the cab when I pull the...

    BX Snow Cab

I was considering Parker Moldmate series of quick coupler for my application. Upon further research, I opted for standard 45degree flare fittings. They don't provide the quick disconnect or checked flow that the quick couplers do, but they don't restrict the flow nearly as much, either at the...

    BX Snow Cab

Reamer, I just used standard interior door hinges, with one of the half knuckles removed. I had these laying around, so I used them instead of buying the weld on - lift off variety. Cab frame is on the left, door frame on the right. See attached.

2 cylinder BX1500, hot to tap in for cab heat

Reamer, I'm utilizing the thermostat bypass ports on my BX2370. Let me guess and your BX1500 is the thermosiphon variety? I'm not familiar with that setup, but would venture a guess, you'll have to tap into the rad hoses and utilize the 12V pump you mentioned. For those who know what they're...
