    Great. Thanks for the input. I'm going to be draining all the hydraulic fluid and changing the filter while I'm at it. Should I just use kubota's UDT or to people use other brands?

    I would like to replace the seal on the pump and I think that hydraulic oil is leaking into my crankcase. I've read numerous posts about having to replace the pump entirely . Does anyone have any experience repairing/rebuilding these pumps and if it's worthwhile? Thank you

    Well I was out for the count with pneumonia but i got out and managed to rig up a land anchor by driving a metal bar into the floor drain of my shop and using a chainfall and a logging chain pulled the tractor in the shop. I will drain the oil and post some pictures of the oil .

    No offense taken at all. I completely understand. I drove an L2250 for years at a farm I worked at when I was younger and it was a workhorse which was why searches for one. They are quite versatile especially for getting in the woods as they are pretty narrow

    The sight glass was behind a sheet metal panel in the transmission hump. I just took the panel off to be able to view it.

    Okay so I went out this evening and got a few pictures . The rad like I said was full to the top . The overflow reservoir was at low ( had been at full previously) I pulled the dipstick and it had settled down to the level in the picture.

    sorry for the misunderstanding. when i pulled the dipstick after the engine had run i could see green on the dipstick. there was some higher up on the dipstick but perhaps that could just be cast off from when the engine was running briefly before i shut it down. i will make another look this...

    Yes that is what I thought as well . Perhaps a head gasket? The engine was always running in temp range I was always under the impression that head gaskets went from overheating.

    sorry for this silly question but im assuming if the other freeze pluges on the engine popped out or rotted that the coolant would leak out on the gorund. im assuming there are the 3 on the side of the engine the one under the timing cover you are talking about and one in the rear?
