    3rd funtion pros and cons

I have the Land Pride and it's great. But it may not be the "best." Neil Messick's recent Youtube looking at different types makes the Kubota sound better in some ways. He has other helpful videos on 3rd functions including another brand he put on his tractor but this one is a comparison of...

Moving 3rd Function Buttons on Joystick?

Geezer, are the set screws at the very bottom?

Moving 3rd Function Buttons on Joystick?

"to twist the handle, insert allen key into stud, loosen lock nuts, rotate handle being mindful to not tighten the pins onto the wire running up the inside of the handle." Thanks, 737. All I can say is the buttons seem to affect my loader when I hit them while raising the bucket or blade. A...

Moving 3rd Function Buttons on Joystick?

Thanks, boakley! Will try it. Gently . . . I want my buttons where you have yours, pointed to my right side.

    B2601 vs L2501

I love my B2601 but for your place agree with those who recommend one of the bigger 25s. I do run a 5' Land Pride cutter with no problems. But I noticed after I got it from my dealer that my manual recommends a 4' for my tractor. The bigger 25s might be okayed for a 5', you'd have to check...

Moving 3rd Function Buttons on Joystick?

I've been irritated recently because when lifting my blade or bucket from the ground, my loader stops, jerks, and stutters. Come to find out, I'M doing it! My 3rd function buttons are on the front of the joystick knob (see photo). My fingers tend to at least brush the buttons when I lift my...

    Do you drive fast?

I think the turnpike ticket to calculate speed and penalties may come one day. But for now, I think they'd hit the same fate as red light cameras have. It wasn't me in the car! Ties up a lot of state/court resources. The officials can fight back, saying you are responsible for your car but it is...

    Do you drive fast?

Well, I stand corrected. Appears my retired brother doesn't get out much. Or at least on toll roads.

    Tractor Mike - Skills lost

This is where I'm at. I lack true mechanical skills but have been able to do basic maintenance at least on all my four tractors over the years. Not only would that be very expensive at a dealer, but they sometimes don't do it well. Bolts left loose, etc., and they leave it out in the weather...

    Do you drive fast?

Have enjoyed this thread and especially this post—gave it a Like even though it's not true, at least in Florida. Intuitively it does not seem accurate simply because of what lawyers could do fighting such penalties for unwitnessed crimes. But I asked my source, my brother. Unlike me, he had the...

    Greased the FEL today...

I've been thinking the same thing. I've put at least 6 hrs on the loader so far this week dealing with snow. I have a Lube Shuttle and like it, especially with the LocknLube tip. By the way, I grew up in Satellite Beach, Florida, and am freezing too! I dislike cold and take winter too...

Photo shoot anything lately? Random Photo Thread

Snow! Didn't mean to out myself. But that's the packed snow my rubber edged blade couldn't get off! Awesome sky.

Snow trip blade (Land Pride STB 1072) observations

Bozen, that's quite an impressive setup! Good info too. I have a B2601 and a 5' Kubota blade. Getting my first experiences with the blade the last two days. I have a third function and need to get a cylinder kit for my blade! I had thought I could angle the blade one way for plowing my steep...

    Problems from Dealer Setup

Just got a call from my local service manager. He is sending a tech, the one I requested even, to the house to look at the damage and make sure they get all the parts. Am so impressed with their efforts with this tractor. They didn't set it up, though their mother dealership did. Nobody's...

    Problems from Dealer Setup

Good web site and Facebook page. Impressive they brought your tractor that far and took so much time. The distances out there to do business may be really unusual in the northeast and southern US.

    Problems from Dealer Setup

Ralph, I'd never used a torque wrench on my tractors before this one. If the bolts were tight, all was fine. I've been lucky because my 3 previous tractors had zero problems. Probably this one will be fine when I get past the loader issues from setup.

    Problems from Dealer Setup

I hope others will share good dealerships. They are the real mystery, like human goodness. Mediocre is common, good is nice, but excellent is news.

    Problems from Dealer Setup

The ethos you describe comes through on the About page. Their statement feels grounded and honest. The staff photos are great! Even the "DELIVERY/LOT/CUSTOMER CARE" guy is featured and has a big grin. Note that the owners come last too . . .

    Problems from Dealer Setup

Great to hear, mcmxi. What's the name of the dealer? Would like to see their web site. There's such a vast difference between excellent businesses and mediocre ones. The difference seems to be the culture that is established from the outset and continued.
