    60" vs 54" bucket for B2601?

Great info here, Flip. I wonder though if everyone is talking apples and oranges here, so to speak. Is it possible that in the smaller tractors, Kubota's buckets are built the same? But in bigger tractors, given their greater horsepower and capabilities, the smaller dirtwork buckets are really...

    60" vs 54" bucket for B2601?

Thanks, Bmyers. I do plan to add a tooth bar anyway. May not be strictly needed for mulch but I think it will help even for that plus when moving hard packed dirt, let alone any digging. From your experience, it sounds like the 54" would be good only if digging is my major use?

    60" vs 54" bucket for B2601?

Sorry if this thread duplicates but I searched and could not find much. Anyway, I am finalizing my purchase and had specified the 54" bucket but the salesman told me he has the 60" in stock and usually sells it. The reason I'd picked the 54" initially was because Kubota calls the 60" a "light...

Just purchased a B2301 what size grapple is appropriate for it

Can you back rake instead with the lower teeth? I ask because I just watched a Messick video on grapples where he warns about fully extending the pistons and loading them that way.

    Wicked 55

Papajoe, how did you pick that brand? I have just started shopping for a grapple for my B2601. Incidentally, I notice that you got a B6100E in 1978. That is the year my father bought his in Florida for his retirement business, a nursery. It became my first tractor.

    Grading Scraper for a B2601

I am facing a similar issue with a box blade purchase for my B2601. The dealer wanted me to get the Land Pride BB1260 but I insisted on going with the 80 lb heavier Land Pride BB1560. The reason is that it's my ballast box! I told him that but dealers tend to be conservative. Mostly because...

Negotiating on B 2601 - Web Build Price vs Dealer

Yeah, I hope some folks with more long term experience buying respond. I have owned two Kubotas and a Deere but that was years ago now and everything has changed.

Negotiating on B 2601 - Web Build Price vs Dealer

Alpo, it says right at the bottom of the paragraph the offer expires at the end of this December. Now they may renew it. And there will be other programs.

Follow up. My salesman first thought the equine program wipes out the cash discount, though see the language that I highlighted below. But when I sent the paragraph to him, he said it appears he was wrong and will check. Look at what I also highlighted, dealer prep. That was built in before, and...

Negotiating on B 2601 - Web Build Price vs Dealer

River, it worked like you said. Seems no biggie to my salesman that I am entitled to a much bigger discount as a member of the National Cutting Horse Association. Do you or anyone know if using the equine discount wipes out the $700 rebate Kubota is now offering on implements? I'll still come...

Negotiating on B 2601 - Web Build Price vs Dealer

River, how and when do you lay the equine membership on them? My fear is that the salesman will then pad the setup. I guess that would be awkward if he has already quoted it? I wonder if the equine discount would hurt his commission and that he'd be somehow harder to deal with. This guy is nice...

Negotiating on B 2601 - Web Build Price vs Dealer

Thanks, Paul. What you said about quibbling is where I am now at. In my defense, though, I used implement quibbling to suss out if the dealer is going to be negotiable on only $500 off MSRP on the tractor. He emailed me back this morning and held firm on the implements. So I imagine the tractor...

Negotiating on B 2601 - Web Build Price vs Dealer

I just completed a build your own on Kubota's site for a B2601. The base price Kubota listed is $16,025. My dealer in central Virginia has quoted me $15,500 for this tractor. So a bit less, but I've gotten the impression from discussion boards that the dealer's price is often at least $1,000...

    Analysis Paralysis L2501/LX2610SU…….B2601

My experience has inclined me to buy the smallest possible tractor and weight it up as much as possible. Part of that experience goes back 18 years, when on our property in southern Indiana we had a pond dug. Had a great old excavator named Walt Taylor dig it, mostly with his (little) dozer. He...
