Old tools - - Neat finds....

My understanding is that Ford made their own tools to supply their factories and dealerships. Ford didn't have too many parts suppliers in their early days

Here are some of mine. Not all antiques, but you don't see them anymore.

    ROPS too tall

Built a pole barn on our place before I got the tractor. If I had to do it again, it would be a 10' garage door. I can back out through the rear sliding door with ROPS up. We had an old rickety corn shed growing up. It had a section where we parked an old Model B John Deere in. The exhaust would...

What % of the Mojave would be be needed to power Calif. ? See anything happening out there?

    Start in high gear

Most of the time I can shift from 6th or 7th to 8th (top gear, manual trans) while moving without grinding the gears. Otherwise, I just let the clutch out slow and verify the RPMs don't drop too much.

Is Air ride seat worth $915 on MX6000

Yeah, if tractor is new, then price should have not included the cost of the original seat. https://farmpartsstore.com/seat-assembly-3a211-85010/?us&gclid=Cj0KCQiAk4aOBhCTARIsAFWFP9E4-fTN2_HDnj8NV4JXt8GVPAttHXwMNIrQZGHG3MFCYr9oacRx3zQaAoOWEALw_wcB

Is Air ride seat worth $915 on MX6000

Considering that the most expensive La-Z-Boy rocker and recliners are around $600, it seems Kubota would be making a windfall profit selling air ride seats.

Lost all overflow coolant. What the ?????

Another possibility is some air pocket left in the engine after coolant fill at the factory. Normally, the plant would use a vacuum fill process. If there was an in-plant repair, a vacuum process might not have been used. There are several inexpensive coolant system pressure testers out there...

Lost all overflow coolant. What the ?????

Probably not a big deal considering the hours. Should fill it about 1/2 way and keep an eye on it. Is there any evidence of coolant leakage...wet spots under tractor, leakage at hose and engine connections, bubbles when radiator cap is removed, engine running?

    Possible DEF shortages

Tesla has at least one prototype truck driving on the road. https://electrek.co/2021/03/14/tesla-video-electric-semi-truck-prototype-test-track/ I hope they are successful. They had better have a full charge when driving into Ca.

    Possible DEF shortages

Why hasn't anyone brought suit against California for violating the Constitution, putting up these trade barriers? This is one of the main causes of the manufactured supply chain disruption and I believe it is being done for that reason.

    Possible DEF shortages

California is requiring phase in of "zero emission" semi trucks in 2024. Only problem is that they don't exist. Would like to see the charging station for one of those.

    No heat L4630

If it is somewhat oily and difficult to wipe off, it is coolant. If so, something in the cab is leaking coolant. Probably the heater core.

    Kubota Electric Tractor Survey

Back in the mid to late 1980s, I worked at a nuclear plant. Security was strict, lots of cameras and motion sensors. Had security respond to a group of us. Someone threw a snowball across the secured area double fence. The place was mostly run by ex Nuke Navy people. The flags were at half staff...

    Possible DEF shortages

Speaking again about California, they are affecting interstate commerce by not allowing truckers into their ports. California's barriers are unconstitutional. Congress has the responsibility to regulate commerce between the states. Other states need to fight this in court; they should have a...
