What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

Hey neighbor, You got the same mess I did, I had to use the 8N with the front blade raised up a couple inches first passes. Then redo it with it down to get it cleaned up. That thaw was a real pain as I had a nice surface on my stone till that, Bill

    An Alternative Home Power Source.

That is the kind of set up I have but then went with a whole generator and transfer switch. Like you say the breaker interlock was an economical install. I left that in place in case I need it with a long outage and running out of propane. i can hook up the 3500 watt gas unit. Bill

Household Appliance Maintenance: Share Your Successes and Failures

Defrost timers are another thing that can fail and click. My expirience included one that failed in the defrost point. Before looking at it I figured the start relay or compressor. Sometimes you can rotate the timer manually and get it going until you get a new one. bill

    An Alternative Home Power Source.

I installed a generac 20kw propane with automatic transfer switch this last year. At 68 i was tired of the dragging stuff out and up and down the cellar stairs to do the breaker transfer etc. We have had 2 failures in the last month one about 1/2 hr and one about 2 hrs. the longer one was...

    Crank seized B7100D

Many years ago I went out this time of year to start my truck. It ran for a second quit and then wouldn't turn over to start. I know it isn't the same but I tried jumping, I tried a bar on the crank nut but it wouldn't move. I could see some deflection in the serpentine belt so I loosened that...

    4701 grab handle

Nice! I worked with a really great machinist until I retired. I always admired the skill set.

    4701 grab handle

Maybe a steering wheel spinner would work for my purpose if I come up with a bracket, you have me thinking again and that can be dangerous! Bill

    4701 grab handle

Interesting idea, i find I am always grabbing the loader area there when I get off and thinking I am going to get a greasy glove . I tend to dismount facing away from the tractor. I might be needing a handle of some sort too. Thanks for sharing! Bill

    3301 drawbar hitch .

I also checked and apparently mine isn't the same drawbar. Mine is TC 220-29710 and lists for $183.46. Don't know why so different but maybe disregard my post. So much for them being in the same family. Bill But to add more to the mix I looked at both models on messicks and they both take the...

    3301 drawbar hitch .

I looked at your link Dan, not a bad price or worth trying to source a piece of steel if you don't have the means to drill those holes. I just thought I would take the time on a cold day with little ambition to measure mine for animals45. How did your wheel spacers come out? Bill

    3301 drawbar hitch .

So After a couple searches I found my draw bar where I put it so I could find it easily. I believe my L2501 is the same as your tractor just a different engine? It is 23-11/16 long x 2 x 1-1/4 thick. 3 holes appear to be 13/16" at 1-5/16, 7-7/8, and 14-3/16 centers. 4th hole is 11/16 located at...

    3301 drawbar hitch .

My whole 3 pt set was forgotten at the dealer when they delivered with backhoe one.I offered to pick it up when the driver realized I went and got a bucket of pieces too! I am like you in your things in plain sight and can't find them. I used to be able to walk in a room in the dark and find...

    Thinking about pallet forks……

I agree Jay, I bought the LP1242 forks for my L2501 because that is about it's lifting ability, 1200lbs. Any forks weighing more is just taking away from what I can do in real work. It would be a real PITA to not be able to handle some pallets when the just a little more is tied up in dead...

    Thinking about pallet forks……

Until all the covid shortages most new equipment sat outside at the dealers year round. In the central NY ones it was buried in snow part of each year. The balls on my 3pt hitch were very rusty on my new L2501. While it and the BH77 are in my shop now other things aren't. I would like to put a...

    Tractor Mike - Skills lost

Moving 3rd Function Buttons on Joystick?

That is what I did with my summit valve. I drilled a hole and installed it in the loader valve plastic. It was a small 30 amp rocker from advance auto and has a led so i know at a glance if it is on. Bill

SSQA snow plow worth the trouble?

Long before the SSQA in my life, I used a 830 JD in the late 70's where i worked. it had a western power angle plow that replaced the bucket and used the bucket cylinder to level it, no strap or chain. It was 2wd and had turf tires. Used double ring chains on them and plowed parking lots...
