I mount the tractor by grabbing the fender mounted handle & search for something on the left side. Usually end up on the steering wheel with my left hand. I want something I can grab on the mount & dismount. This is what I have come up with. Kind of like a door knob, so it can be used from any angle. It does not interfere with the FEL or greasing the FEL.

This is a prototype. Finished product will be Al powder coated in a textured finish.

Interesting idea, i find I am always grabbing the loader area there when I get off and thinking I am going to get a greasy glove . I tend to dismount facing away from the tractor. I might be needing a handle of some sort too. Thanks for sharing!

Maybe a steering wheel spinner would work for my purpose if I come up with a bracket, you have me thinking again and that can be dangerous!

That looks like it would be very functional. How does it attach?

Thanks,

Jack
4 @ 1/4”-20x3/4” bolts - I will have to drill into the loader & cover up the “Do not touch loader bucket to power lines” decal. Dang!

The spinner had crossed my mind. I didn’t want it to move because I can see me just palming it on the dismount & slipping off. But, that is just me.

I am a machinist going on 42 years now. I don’t own the machinery, but have access to it. What you have seen is version 2 off a 3D printer (& the final version). Those things are great for making sure everything is perfect before you cut metal. I will make an Aluminum copy & powder coat with a textured finish to mount on my tractor.

Nice! I worked with a really great machinist until I retired. I always admired the skill set.
