Why Is It Difficult To Shift Hydrostatic Transmissions

I change between gear ranges while the tractor is moving ever so slowly when coming to a stop, or by drifting slightly after being stopped on a slope. No grinding or anything, just a smooth transition. Of course, if the lever moves easily between ranges while stopped I chose the range I want...

Plowing a tiny bit of land with just a loader?

I believe in never saying never...But...it seems to me that using a loader to plow a field might work about as well as using a plow to load a truck... edit: On second thought, I think the loader would win the contest if both were tried...

Brand New LA1065 Loader Bucket Curls Down First Then Goes Up

It sounds like the OP is saying when he went to curl the bucket up, it first curled down and then went up. If so, it sounds like an issue to me. As suggested by Mikester, it would not hurt to move the loader functions many times to purge air from the cylinders in case that could be the reason.

B3000 just died for no apparent reason

Time to order a new switch. It will very likely fail again just when you do not want it to. Of course, in an emergency you could eliminate the switch, but that may not be the greatest idea...

B3000 just died for no apparent reason

If the issue is a safety switch, I would suspect the safety switch on the directional pedal as going to ground (and blowing the fuse) when you move the pedal off mid position...

I'll be sure to check it out! But it seems like each time I scroll up the curser stops at the add with the girls in Bikinis :D

Thanks Wolfman! That information is now installed in my memory banks for future use if/when needed. :)

My (New to me L200 KUBOTA)... I Need Help

I understand the concept, but have never done it, so I will just ask this questions and keep my red face to myself... When one removes the line connected to the injector, how does he see the bubbles? I would be inclined to put a plastic tube on the end of the line somehow, and put the end of...

    Lesco / Classen 48" Aerator & BX2380 Issue

Good solution. Looks like it will take away some of the lift capacity of the 3PH, but you can easily put the lift arms back in the original holes if more lift capacity is needed. As is now, the arms will also lift higher at the ends as well.

6 inch bucket for Kubota BH77 backhoe

6" bucket!!?? I sure hope you are digging in sand or VERY dry earth. I have a 9" for my backhoe that I almost never use, since our clay sticks in it so bad, and I soon got VERY tired of wasting time and energy, getting off the tractor and cleaning it out with a digging bar. Frankly, even the...

BX1800 Starting Issue - not engaging

Thanks Wolfman, I guess what I am missing is why increased clearance (due to gear wear) would cause the starter gear to have difficulty engaging. Seems like it should go in easier rather than not. Assuming that the starter/solenoid unit is in good condition. In other words, when things are...

Does Bob live in Canada too? I thought he was in England...perhaps he came along with Harry and Megan?

BX1800 Starting Issue - not engaging

I did not quote Bird Dogger's post since it was pretty long with images as well... As a guy that knows nothing about the interface between the bendix gear and the flywheel gear, I will say I am amazed that with that much of each tooth remaining that there was an issue. Can not help but wonder...

    Drive train warranty

This will not be any help, but I can tell you that if either of my Kubota tractors had a 15 year bumper to bumper warranty it would not have made any difference... B2910 and BX2200. Have to check, but about 1300 hours on the BX and I think about 1800 on the B2910. Never had any warranty...

    BX's with R14 tires ...?....

It does not work that way. The backhoe hanging behind the rear axle takes weight off the front axle. So you cannot just average the total weight per tire...

Tipped Tractor - Oil in Cylinders Question

Agree But that was not why I asked the question. I was curious about how liquids got into the cylinders when a tractor is tipped over...:)

Tipped Tractor - Oil in Cylinders Question

Now that’s interesting N. I. Wolfman! I will have to look at my tractor and see where the PCV route is. Perhaps tipping on one side is safer than the other due to the routing of the PCV path? Not that tipping one’s tractor on either side is recommended... Would never have thought of this...
