    L235 Live Clutch?

On the L185 I have the clutch stops both the PTO and the transmission at the same time. Inversely the PTO does not "start" until you release the clutch, if you are in gear the tractor takes off and the PTO starts at the same time. You may be more interested in if you have an over running...

To see what implements fit your tractor there is a way to do it on the Kubota.com website. Go to the website Select PARTS tab Select ILLUSTRATED PARTS LIST button Agree to all the terms and conditions Type in your model number of tractor - L235DT Select the phrase "local options" next to your...

    L295d clutch help

The clutch plate may be rusted to the flywheel so it is really engaged all the time. There are methods on breaking it loose with out splitting the tractor to get to the clutch. Use the search function. I can't recall the process exactly but it did not seem to too difficult to try.

L235. what to watch out for etc.

See if this list of L models on the Kubota.com site helps. http://www.kubota.com/priorproduct/LSeries.aspx I think that the L175 is the smallest and the L345 is the biggest in the series that are fairly common in design and time frame of manufacture.

L235. what to watch out for etc.

There was a whole family of these tractors (L175, L185, L235...) that were all similar and had similar problems. You may not have a water pump. Smaller tractors (like my L185) were thermo siphon. You need to be sure the radiator is clean on the inside and the outside. They overheat and...

L225 PTO stops when tiller comes in contact with ground

for clarification purpose Shear pin = low strength bolt in most cases on PTO shafts Generally located at the implement end to the PTO If you don't see the head or nut and you see two holes then the pin is sheared and needs to be replaced. Part of the shear pin (the middle of the bolt)...

    PTO and trans

I hope I misunderstand what you said - you are not trying to shift the gears like you would a car to gain speed are you? But yes, on older tractors, you may need to wait for the implement to stop before you can stop the tractor, or shift gears. This is very evident on brush hog/mowers and...

    L1501 DT Transmission Oil Level?

I would assume it was overfilled, I think a lot of people seem to think you pour oil in until you can see it at the opening and have no idea about the level plug. Since you don't know much about the history of the tractor (had to look that one up - must be used more in the Queen's English than...

    3 Point hitch question

THERE IS NO DOWN FORCE ON THE HITCH POINT USING THE 3 POINT LIFT ARMS! Try this experiment - take the trailer off the hitch. Grab the ball area of the hitch and you should be able to lift it several inches to a foot until something hits somewhere on the tractor. Therefore, you also need to...

How to remove pulley from 44" deck?

Keep going with the PB Blaster and patience! You may want to try spraying it and then lightly tapping on the pulley to vibrate it and allow the penetrating fluid to soak down. I have also hung the weight of the equipment on the pulley you are trying to get off. Then gravity is working on it...

    L1801 blowing oil

How do you know that part came from that hole? It seems it would have to be more substantial than that to hold oil pressure. I would think something like a "freeze plug" but what do I know about tractor engine design?

    L1501 DT Transmission Oil Level?

See this post for some pictures that show it near the front of the foot board on the clutch side for a L185. http://www.orangetractortalks.com/forums/showthread.php?t=9299&highlight=level+l185 I have no idea what that rear one is for - I never took it out! Hopefully you understand the...

    L1801 blowing oil

34150-27580 is a small plug in that area for the L185. You can search for the L185 parts on Kubota.com and look to see if you think it may be what is missing. My tractor is no where close so I can't look. If you need I will look this week end.

I am told my tractor is 25 HP + or -

This problem may be due to a plugged up vent in the transmission case. Under the seat on the side of the tractor there may be a tube sticking out that looks like a question mark (laying on its side). Unscrew it and see if it is plugged up with some kind of junk. If so clean it out and see if...
