    LA 301/ LA 302 Bucket - Answered

Perhaps you could looks at the parts manuals for the loaders, if available somewhere like Messicks, and see if bucket part numbers are the same for the buckets on both loaders.

    Success, and with minimal ballast....

2 cubic feet of concrete does not sound like much weight. I assume you meant a 2 foot cube? That would be 8 cubic feet...

    LA 402 Brace issue

So it sounds like the OP may have been incorrectly sent the pieces for a LA302... edit: OP is faster on the draw than me!

    LA 402 Brace issue

Is this the area you were referring to? I am guessing you meant a different spot now... where the front assembly attaches to the frame. Cannot picture what it looks like in my mind now, but will be obvious when there. Will take a picture later when I can get back to the tractor...something else...

    LA 402 Brace issue

Hopefully the pictures attach correctly. Well I was getting multiple copies of each image, so I deleted them and will post one at a time...

    LA 402 Brace issue

I think I measured the same edge as you did, from the back up to the point where the vertical piece is welded on. Mine is 31.25". I will post a couple pictures from my phone soon for your reference...

    LA 402 Brace issue

I will also measure the length of that piece that looks like it is too short. If there are any other measurements that you need, that do not require me to lay down on the cold ground, I will get them for you as well. Please post what you need specifically, if anything else besides that one piece.

    LA 402 Brace issue

I have that LA402 loader on my b2910, same tractor as yours except for the engine. Can't get a picture now but will try later in the afternoon...

    Are you going to.....

I thought it was nose hairs that did the filtering. But I suppose lungs do filter as well, just ask a coal miner with black lung disease...

I need advice on a flow restrictor

I don't think it is folklore. Read reports of hose failure for this reason over the years. Makes sense if you reduce diameter you increase velocity of flow through a smaller opening. Of course, the restriction also causes some decrease in flow. Not sure of the relationship. Restrictors likely...

    plowing with a bx2360 with a FEL

It really depends on the circumstances I think. Loader does not work for me as a plow because I have a lot of compound curves and it wants to dig in at one corner or the other. Flat parking lot...maybe fine. I use gage wheels on the rear blade and have two tilt cylinders, one which has a float...

I need advice on a flow restrictor

One thing that comes to mind from reading something somewhere in the past, is that flow restrictors end up shooting a narrower, higher speed stream of hydraulic fluid out of them. If the hose curves close to the restrictor, this concentrated high velocity flow can actually over time cut through...

Plowed Snow With My BX For The First Time

Would love that, but we do not get that much snow here in Pittsburgh area normally...so probably not cost effective in my case.

    Hydraulic pressure adjustment

I do not think I would try to use anything that might break free and get into the hydraulic system if your tractor is HST. (sorry don't remember as I type this). Even teflon tape is a no no for fitting on the hydraulic connections on a HST tractor, as a small piece could cause damage to the...

BX23S new from dealer - front axle BONE DRY

That would concern me and be a reason to drain what is in there and replace it with a known oil. Not sure today, but it used to be that front axles were filled with the same fluid that was in the tractor itself, for the hydraulics and HST. I think it was SUDT, if I remember right. If he dumped...

Aftermarket hydraulic cylinders vs OEM for L285

That is what I figured too. Out of pocket for me was about $40 per cylinder. AND all I had to do was drop them off and pick up later. Granted, it took about a week or so to get them back, as there was one seal they had to back order. But that was not a big deal for me...Would do it again without...

    How Wide is Too Wide

If you are looking for stability, I would probably push the envelop a bit and go for 4 inch spacers. I decided on 4" for my B2910 if I would buy them, as stability is the reason for the purchase. I did not think to follow Wolfman's advice, since this is the first I heard it, and do not know if...
