I usually use my B2910. But the box blade was on it...forget why. Thought the rear blade was on it.

So I took the BX2200 and hooked up the 72" rear blade to it. The BX has AG tires and they are foam filled, which adds lots of stability. Also 1.25" rear wheel spacers (width limited by having a MMM). Lots of slopes here.

The B2910 makes me nervous, since I tipped it on its side once after using it for ten years. That was about 8 years ago.

All I can say is even with out my T&T, which the B2910 has, I was able to do what I needed with the BX (with about 5 inches of snow). AND it was fun! No worries about slipping and getting into a bad situation where the larger tractor might go on its side again. I ran the blade reversed, since I figured with my compound curves in the driveway, which is gravel over dirt, I would have less digging in.

Of course, not as good a job as when I use the larger tractors, with T&T, plus float on one side, and gage wheels, but all in all, a more fun experience. Next snow worth plowing (if under 6"), it will be the BX again! Good enough is good enough...especially when it is more fun!

Would love that, but we do not get that much snow here in Pittsburgh area normally...so probably not cost effective in my case.

I dont know where in Da Burg you are but Im south of you and true most years theres not enough to worry about. HOWEVER, if you remember when we had the BIG SNOW that blade was the only way we could get out of the house to the road, and there was snow piled up 6 or 7 feet hig using my BX. I cant tell you how much gravel I have pushed around and piles of dirt for the gardens. Yep I had a FEL on the B and you can push snow but it is a PIA even with the back blade. Main thing is you have fun while you re out there :)
