Need info on rotary mower purchase

A 48" Land Pride rotary cutter should cost well less than $2,400. Shop around. SDT

    RC60-mower deck, better wheels available?

I have a 60" terrain following deck (wouldn't own a suspended deck) bought new with my 1993/1994 (can't remember) B1750HST. Unlike the BX series, the B1750 has position control (don't know about your B7100). I marked the position control lever at a position where the lift just begins to remove...

    Fuel boogers

I agree with Wolfman. Check for algae. Is this tractor used only rarely? SDT

    B7200HST suction strainer

Yes. Remove the bolt which is the strainer. If it has not been removed previously, it will be very tight. You may need to remove the wheel/tire so as to get an impact wrench with 6 point socket onto the bolt. You may also need new O-rings. Be advised that removing the strainers will allow most...

    Not sure what to buy

Why a flail mower? Flail mowers suck HP. I would not put one behind a BX. I like the full featured B series. Recommendations would depend upon size of mower contemplated and what and how fast you plan to mow. SDT

    Bi-Speed Turn Lever on a B1700

It should engage/disengage easily. Check the linkage for evidence of binding, corrosion or damage. SDT

    Bi-Speed Turn Lever on a B1700

The Bi-Speed Turn lever on my B1750 moves easily between On and Off, and I use Bi-Speed regularly when mowing. Have you tried moving it to the On position while moving forward and backward on level ground with the steering centered? SDT

    Right hand fender grip

BINGO! This is exactly why you will not find right side steps on ROPS model tractors from most (all ?) manufacturers. Once again, the plaintiff's bar has inconvenienced all of us for the sake of legal fees. SDT, who is, among other things, an attorney and knows how the legal system works.

    Right hand fender grip

BTDT with my L6060 ROPS. I bought a right side handle for, IIRC, an L4700 (??). It was necessary to modify it by cutting away some of the plastic from the front/inside to provide clearance for the plastic "console" on my 6060 but all else was bolt on. Interestingly, my dealer had the handle in...

rotary cutter as rear weight ?

Nice ballast box. I like the built in receiver and the sliding door to allow sand, etc., to be easily removed. Probably too large for a BX, though. The small Kubota ballast box, intended for BX and B series tractors, is priced similarly but does not have the built in receiver or the sliding...

rotary cutter as rear weight ?

The rotary cuter will suffice but it's cumbersome and gets in the way. A weight box is ideal as it can be loaded as needed and takes up little space. I have two weight boxes, a large one for use with my M9960 and L6060 and a small one for use with my B3350. I too do not load tires for multiple...

    Potential bx2380 buyer

Be advised that the BX series does not have position control whereas some (not all) JD SCUTs do. I'm sold on Kubota and own five but I would never buy a tractor without position control or a tractor with a suspended deck. You may want to consider the B series. Most B series tractors (not all)...
