Got a little work to do in the next couple days. The guy from the paving company said to NOT use kero. He said hose it down with water and let the sun do the work. Compact it at the high temp for the day (2-4 pm here) and then repeat the next day.
Yet again, I think I underestimated how much I need. 70 tons may not be enough.

those are some really nice millings you got there.

You can use one of these to get you close.... https://www.nesl.com/product-calculator/

basically, a yard will cover about 100 sqft to a depth of 3". Millings run slightly under 1.5 ton/cu yard.

Well, there is my mistake. I guesstimated 1.2 tons per yard. Then, there is the fact that a full load could be 18-22 tons in a 3 axle truck. At least the company is close by.

Interesting.... but.... does not actually recommend/suggest any specific brands or substitutes for Kubota SUDT-2!
I asked the dealer about me using the ISO 68 in the SVL75-2 for our summers/Texas heat they said didn't recommend, but half those guys are HS drop outs, anyways. Kubota manufacturing says to use the 68 for summer, that's probably what I'll end up using.

I run Shell Rotella hydraulic fluid in the MX52 for the past 400 to 500+ hours. The MX I think is at 740hrs, 340hrs on that Hyd oil and it still looks new. I change the hyd/eng filters(Kubota brand) every 200hrs it's a dusty hot mofo down here.
ERVERY 10hours on the machines, the zerks get greased, the air filters and radiators get blown out and cleaned.

I believe he's right. When it's hot like it is here my float function quits working. Last Jan. I thought my control valve wasn't working, it just quit when I was working the little L175 pretty hard using the float to level off a pad I was building. Later that day when it cooled down it started working again.
A few weeks ago while trying to back drag some caliche it quit working after about the second 20ft. drag.
Come on rain and cooler weather. 30+ days of 100+deg. and no rain.........that's Texas.
