Gosh Daren - - looks great!

Those potatoes would make great "salt potatoes" here in upstate New York.

Salt potatoes originated in Syracuse with the famous Hinerwadels' Clam Bake venue.
The meat just fell apart with a spoon 😎😎😎😎

This ice storm and resulting travel lockdown plus our power being out for the third day, we are surviving by having a generator for powering the essentials and having the fireplace insert for heat.

Well, she got the mini-crocklpot out, thawed some chicken breast, added rice, celery/onion and seasoning. The result was some sorta Jambalaya.

The Wife made Chili a few days ago but with this power outage thing there was no convenient way to warm up a bowl......

Well almost no way. I sprayed Pam into a skillet, spooned in a serving of Chili, and used the top of the fireplace insert. Yup, piping hot it was. ;)

I've gotten creative when stuck out on the road. Had some Spaghetti in a Tupperware tub and got stuck out on a jobsite and wasn't gonna make it back to the shop. I left the truck running, defrost on high, and would stir it on occasion.

I had a nice warm lunch 😎😎😎😎

Bagged crawfish are still $6 a pound here.

Hopefully next week but depending upon the weather, I have a job coming up in Thibodaux and I'm gonna catch up with you.

This customer's last name is Ledet. I'll be sawing Cypress logs.
Places my friend down there recommends...

Blakes deli for po boys

Politz’s, Sphar’s, and Jambalaya Shop for cajun food. Fremin’s or Flannagan’s too but he says they a little fancier places.

Big Boys for crawfish

Bourgeois meat market for boudin, jerky, etc..
