Only my gut talking, but I'm with Bill on that one, and use it the way it is.How do you plan to get rid of that rust? I am thinking that as long as you have the gear box torn down that far, would it be easy enough to replace the bearings? With the kind of rust that you have in there I am sure that the bearings have to be pitted.

New safety decals installed
Found a rubber plug to help keep some water off the blade pan

Blade assembly re-installed with plenty of grease and anti-seize
With the weather still nice I may have time to do the Rhino Rear Blade this winter also
