    B6100 charging issues

As far as what usually gets replaced, I'd say voltage regulator. However they're fairly bullet proof. Try this link! http://www.orangetractortalks.com/forums/showthread.php?t=526 John

    Blade / Deck Problems

Well new blades were a disapointment! they didn't pack the deck quite as full but still have to scrape about a 5gal bucket full after every use. guess I'll go back to the Scag blades that were on it when I bought it!

    Kubota Tiller

I don't have any experience with any of the Kubota tillers but if they're anything like the tractors they should be better than OK! Not sure about price either seems I ran into one about 2 years ago and the guy wanted $500.00 but don't know much about the condition of it! at the time I didn't...

    48" vs 60" rear mower

60" cut won't be much help if you screw up your tractor by overloading it! You might get away with it for a while or if you just don't have that much to mow, but my guess is if that were the case you'd be mowing it with an MTD! Spring grass in the Bluegrass can get away from you in a hurry...

Pulley replacement on 60" mower deck

Air Impact is the only way to go! I recently had one that I had to use a 3/4 drive impact on in order to get it loose!

    Blade / Deck Problems

Just got off the phone with a great customer service tech at Oregon outdoor equipment products! I told him my story and he said that the gator blades that were listed for my Encore never developed the lift that they were suppost to and offered to send me a set with the higher lift I need free of...

    Blade / Deck Problems

ipz, I don't guess you'd remember the name of the stuff? I've been told as I stated earlier about PAM cooking spray, Paint thinner, Paint thinner mixed 50/50 with used motor oil, Mo-Deck, Fluid Film, etc.. The main problem I have with any of these remedies is that everyone agrees that for them...

    Blade / Deck Problems

This may be a tad bit off topic since it doesn't involve a Kubota tractor, however I figured it could apply to Kubota's as well as all mowers. I am having trouble with my Encore zero turn 52 inch mower deck packing full of grass clippings right down to the top of the blades! I purchased it in...

    help with a mystery rotovator.

Rob, First of all I'm not familiar with the Kubota tiller in question! However looking at the photos especially the one of the tineshaft, the mechanicals of this tiller bears a striking resemblance to a chinese tiller marketed in the US under the brand names NorTrac and Farm Pro with some extra...

Here's an API oil guide chart in PDF http://www.burkeoil.com/pdf/oilguide.pdf I like Scott's S = Spark Plug explanation and it holds true except in the case of some premium oils which have both classifications! John

    B6000 oil pressure question

I agree with Bellinghamster don't rely on the idiot light! hook up a mechanical gage and get an accurate oil pressure reading, that will speak volumes about the condition of the engine! Then if it turns out that the oil pressure is low you can begin that photo essay thread that Traildust was...

    Restoring

Orangeburner99, I second L4740's comments! I just finished painting my 1979 B7100 and decals, mascot, headlights, and emblems cost me just under $200 at my local dealer. I also bought a replacement OEM seat at $98.00. The Kubota Blue for the frame was $29.95 for a quart. Kubota Orange I (older...

    What Topper?

Is there any possibility that the hour meter installed is a 6 volt model that would explain it counting double time since it is running on double voltage? John

    Gear or Hst

Mine is gear driven I don't have a loader and mainly use it to Bush Hog as Dusty-t already stated for alot of changing direction HST is nice. I really like the hook up I get as far as power to the ground! however, with a gear driven tractor every time I clutch to change direction the PTO also...
