I'm not 100% certain that it's the heat. The white/yellow hoses are always the ones that end up with stored pressure. I never had the red/blue need relief. If it's all temperature-related why don't the red/blue hoses have pressure on them? Something else afoot?

I'll need to look more closely at this with my FEL. Maybe I sometimes don't allow enough time for the last of the pressure to bleed off?

Removing and reinstalling the FEL isn't difficult. I've had mine in and off a lot. I have a snow plow mounted on an extra SSQA plate that is on all Winter. The other three seasons the bucket is on the FEL and it's removed and parked in the shed. The FEL is reinstalled whenever it's needed for a task.

When removing the FEL, I get it all unpinned and back away a bit with only the hoses attached. Then I shut the tractor down and keep moving the joystick till pressure is all equalized. THEN I disconnect the hoses. When reinstalling I stop short of the frame to get good access to the hose connections, hook them up and them drive the rest of the way into the frame.
Ill probably give it a try. Once the heat breaks. Park the fel in the shade if I can. Lube pins ect before re-attaching.

It may still have a pressure difference parked in the garage. Like others said above, easy to release the build-up.
They don't mention this when taking the FEL off. The videos simply show them taking it off and putting it back on haha.

Tried to get my field bushhogged today.
But the 'heat dome' did me in. I got it half done.
Plenty of wild maine blueberry growing.
Looks like a good crop.

Looks like there was a big ball of wool mixed in with the sheep $hit! Hopefully you caught it before it blew over to the neighbor's property like a tumbleweed! 😂
That's Daisy, she just got a trim Friday and only has about a third of the fur now.

Before pic, she likes to be comfortable😄

I have had mine off many times and this is the first time that I have had to releave the pressure on it. But this is the first time the temperature changed this much. It doesn't tale much of a rise to cause the pressure to build since the hydraulic fluid doesn't compress and expands as it warms.

I've had this load of wood on the trailer since mid April so it is past time to work it up so I can use the trailer for something else. I started on it the other day.

Over the winter I made the left hand stakes so they would fold down and built the cutting table. This is the first time I used them together.

It started out warm and cloudy but when the sun came out it seemed like a good time to stop.

Just for fun I used my 47 year old HomeLite Super XL that I bought new in 1978.

Today was cool (63*) and windy with a slight drizzle at times. Nice weather to get it finished up before coffee time.

Well it's good to know that if I ever take the loader off to not leave it in the hot sun haha. Wonder if it would be safe to take it off in the garage?
make sure the hydraulic fluid is at operating temp before which is usually higher than ambient. when it cools it decreases volume sunlight shouldnt be an issue if you cover the cylinders or put it in the shade

Danger. I was having some thoughts.

According to a quick search, it appears that 10 meters of rubber hose will grow by 140mm with a 100°C (212°F) increase in temperature. Steel grows by about 1.2mm per meter for every 10°C. The coefficient of expansion of SUDT2 could be such that the hoses and cylinders shrink internal volume more than the SUDT2 on cooling. Making the "container" smaller by cooling it with a fixed amount of liquid inside might pressurize the liquid.

Used the L3901DT to move my ash pile. Move almost 3 bucket loads.

Then gave the tractor a little bath. Didn't do a really good job, it was over 90 degrees.

57°F for the high here today, and after a few days of rain it was perfect weather to move some dirt and widen the transition to the second driveway. When I bought the new 30ft gooseneck trailer home a couple of weeks ago I asked my neighbor to mark the grass with line paint as I made the turn up the hill. I asked him to offset the line a couple of feet from the trailer tires. The gooseneck cuts the corners quite a bit so my initial entrance wasn't even close.

I'm in no hurry with this second driveway and will continue to chip away at it. The box blade fills up really quickly but the M6060 and the EA work well together. I've started clearing for the new barn/shed too and this driveway will split off to the new shed as well as head up to the house. If I can get the shed built before the snow comes, and get some 1-1/2" pit run down on the driveway I'll be more than pleased. If not, I'll live with it.

Box bladed the mud and organic material covering the crushed stone driveway that was deposited by the loggers. Trying to get down to original top layer and then will topcoat with new stone. Continued stumping and clearing slash. Tomorrow will hook up chipper.
