Pressure washed the tractor, blower and snow pusher. We didn't have frost all winter so by times I was moving as much sod and gravel as snow.
No frost all Winter?
Those Cavendish potatoes will likely get an early start!

We did not have severe weather here, so thankful for that. We did have a LOT of rain and still coming down. Good day to check out the general drainage situation around the houses and more routinely used trails to make sure water is going wherever it’s supposed to be going. Way too wet and rainy to do anything else outside.

There’s usually no water in this area. Another 30’ and there’s a little waterfall where it dumps into the creek that was running about 4’ today (about 3.5’ above normal).

Did use the Kubota just a little bit inside, though. Greased the loader and used it as a stepladder to put an eye in the ceiling joists for the block & tackle to dress deer if anyone is able to do any deer hunting this fall. Of course they stay on a shelf most of the time; only the eye bolt stays up there all the time. Used to clean them at my father’s house but my son and his fiancé live there now. They both do some hunting but I don’t know her well enough yet to know if she’s the kind of girl that field dresses and processes her own deer or if she shoots it and calls her dad to take it from there. Maybe we’ll find out this fall.

I used my L2501 Thursday for pushing and burning piles of brush. My son and I burnt 2 large piles around 30 x 40. I stayed busy moving 4 smaller piles in to the 2 that were burning. As of last night 1 was still smoldering. We have 1 more large pile and about 1 acre of smaller trees to clear yet.

I used the L3901DT to pull my driveway back up the hill yesterday after we had a really hard rain. One of my culvert pipe got block with leaves.

Started to prep mower deck for season.

Obvious it was a dry summer with little mowing.

Blades are in good shape. Will hit them with an angle grinder, but won’t take much.

Not sure if it's an optical illusion but it looks like there's a lot more material removed from the blade on the right (top). What's the purpose of those notches? Are they for mulching? Nice looking edges by the way, and clearly no stones in the field. (y)

I got the hydraulic snow blade and rear snow blower off the MX and put them on pallets ready to move to a spot for summer storage. Now we're bound to get a 12" snow storm!

I'm planning on getting the crappy 50 gallon sprayer with 10ft boom sorted out this weekend. I bought it six or seven years ago but have never actually used it for spraying. I've only ever used it for irrigating trees and such. I'm going to be spraying about 12 acres next week or next weekend so I need to figure out ground speed and flow rates so that I can mix and apply Roundup for someone.

Those are Oregon Gator G6 (?) mulching blades for a lawnmower deck. Have quite a bit of contour to them.

I do still catch stones on occasion. 😳

They’re okay. Not going to say great, but overall been happy with them. They are cheaper than OEM and pretty stout.

Hold an edge pretty well. Been using them a few years now. I think this is my second set. First ones took a licking and kept on ticking…..

Another satisfied customer of Ken's Bolt on Hooks. Easy and quick install and had plenty of time left before dinner to move that hunk of wood from the front yard that's been there since we bought the place in November. What do people paint their hooks with that can withstand the wear and tear?

Took the last load (for now) of fence wire and old gates from the ole farm. I had a nice suprise when the shredder material price for scrap had jumped to $8 per 100lb. Nice to get a little money to offset my fuel costs for cleaning up the old farm.

I have a black HLA bucket and just used regular spray paint on mine to kill the shine.

Changed the engine oil and filter today. 522 hours on the clock so far. The tractor looks really funny to me without the loader on it.

I don’t have those hooks but some hooks I welded on. They were not painted before so I did the base primer and paint coat. I find that no matter what I do the paint comes off. Not sure if Bedliner would work. I may have to try that.

Bedliner paint will also come off those hooks when you use chain.

Scratches on the hooks are pretty irreverent when the whole bucket gets marked up with use.

Very true! First time I used the bucket I sprayed the underside where it was scraped up, I quickly realized that was not worth the time or money long term.

I filled the tubes with concrete (60lb bags mixed in a bucket) for the dock. I hope the calves left them alone last night.
