I have only had my "new-to-me" M4900 for a couple of months so I am still making a few changes. The FEL bucket had a couple of hooks welded inside which have already hooked vines and caused me to have to dismount a few times.

What I did may be temporary but it will work for now. A couple of links of grade 70 chain, a couple of grade 8 bolts, and a couple of 7/16" hooks will do the job without me building hook brackets or welding hooks the top the bucket. Of course they will not take a side load, but the others wouldn't either.

A side grinder will remove the hooks from the bucket.
The two hooks got ground off today. I have not tried them yet, but I believe that the bolted on hooks are gonna work fine. At least they will not be in the way for normal work.

Did a little firewood this afternoon.

Also had to pull the Mule 3010 back to the house with the tractor. The battery was dead when I tried to start it to go get the tractor. I little walk later and help from the wife its by the house. Need to run into town and get a new battery. The battery is 8 years old, I think I got my money out of it.

Last year I modified a cheap lawn tractor lawn rake to work on a 2" receiver hitch mount on the back of my BX - today I mounted it on my loader on my Artillian pallet for frame- worked great for pulling back leaves so I could suck them up!

Installed Front & Rear Camera system on my M7060HDC … works pretty well. I may have a little adjustment to do on the cameras, but view is close to what I was looking for, which was basically see the bucket leading edge when near the ground level, and see the lift arms & center line-up when backing up to 3 pt. equipment. Added bonus is front camera also seeing the line-up on bucket when re-attaching it. :cool:

Got the tractor back this morning. Faster turnaround than expected as I just dropped it off Monday.

Rear defrost window = $282
Freight = $115
Labor =$145
Total for life lesson = $542
Thanks for the heads up! Wow, that's what I had guesstimated around $400-$500, you would think these windows would be shatter proof.

Good luck with it.

Removed the mower off the 3pt and installed the snow blower. Put all of the summer attachments on pallets and covered them up out of the weather.

Got the baler all back together yesterday only to find out I had another bearing bad that I couldn't hear because of the bad ones I just replaced. 3 hrs later and a good knot on my head from a prybar and she's ready to go.
I hate when that happens! :(
But getting it finally fixed it sometimes worth a thump or two on the head! :p

Had a few trees come down with the front that pushed through this week. Got them cut and over to the pile for splitting later

Winter is going to happen and we had snow flurries sat. Decided to take off the loader and install the subframe/blower. The whole job took less then an hour including servicing. Went to test operations and found switch on linear for chute is pooched. Chute only goes down. Tested and it is the switch that died. Off to get another switch and a try to find a matching weather proof cover to protect this one. I suspect that's why the first switch only lasted a couple years. Good news no more grass to cut.

Yeah, I think that's the project for next weekend. Had some sleet today.
Have some more loader work to do; some may have to wait until spring.

Worked yesterday and today fabricating a spill guard for the bucket on my BX2230. I've had branches roll off the back when I load the bucket up all the way and raise it all the way to dump them on my brush pile. I had a local welding shop cut the pieces for me and I used my new Millermatic 211 Mig welder to weld it up. I added a couple of features I haven't seen on any other spill guards.
I'll post pictures in a few days, after I get it sand blasted and painted or powder coated. Total cost of materials so far is about $72.00.

Just about finished up driveway install for the year. Halfway done overall. Heres a few pictures to show progress. Did anywhere from 100 to 200 ft a month. Big thanks to everyone who helped with suggestions last spring.
