I'm waiting for the baler to finish another field, so in the interim I wrestle with my Beagle.
Is that a euphemism? Or maybe you have a Beagle! :ROFLMAO:

"in the interim" implies that you're involved in the haying operation. Are you transporting bales with your tractor?

Water service job today with a gas line in close proximity.

backfill: The U-27 is still impressing me. Yanked and lifted that entire section of sidewalk with ease. I bounced it off the road to break it. I just couldn't heave the whole slab into the back of the dump in one shot.

On to an emergency sewer line in the am. Seems like the guys got some equipment stuck in the line while doing a trenchless spot repair. It will no longer be "trenchless" after I get there. 😁

Unloaded some drill stem pipe, 31' long, with the forks, easypeasy. Paid $85.00 each, compare that to buying new pipe!

Spent the last 2 days working out the M4050 putting in my final spring plantings - pumpkin patch and deer food plots . The first 2 areas are the least rocky on my property so I broke up the soil with a subsoiler, then pulled the cultivator and finally tilled. Spread fertilizer and planted (sunflowers, rye & buckwheat) the 'flat' field, fertilized, hilled and then sprayed pre-emergent on the pumpkin patch. Planting today or tomorrow.

First pic is the pumpkin patch with the hills and reclaimed field below. 2nd is a field I reclaimed that was full of walnut saplings. Took out the trees and heavy vegetation in late winter, burned with glyphosate a month ago and got the soil turned, tilled and planted (rye and buckwheat). The last 2 pics are the M4050 with the cultivator I found & refurbed and added 2 bedding discs which worked pretty well.

My early sunflower planting and food plots that I planted buckwheat in late April haven't done so well with 0" of rain in the past 3 or so weeks, but hopefully they will recover with the rain called for this week.

Worked up part of the hayfield that needs reseeding(if we get any rain) My back was hunting and wanted to see how the Kubota handled the digger so didn't use my b.

I tried, but she was not interested at all. 🤷‍♂️

I mowed with that as a kid and it has pulled trailers here for many years. I do plan to get it running but haven’t put any time into figuring out what’s wrong with it. It sounds like it has good compression so it will most likely run again at some point.
If I had the space and the time, that would have been a great project! Sadly I'd need something turnkey that needs minor stuff because I barely have time to maintain what I currently own lol.

Quick sewer line issue. After several attempts to get this line patched with the trenchless tools (trenchless spot repair) the bladder got stuck in the line. So, I got the call to get it out of there.

diggy

done in under 3 hours...and I didn't do any digging. Ground was bone dry and hard as a rock. Had the youngsters do it all but backfill! ;)

Where did you find drill stem for $85 a stick?
My fence contractor has been negotiating from $150/stick down to $105/stick for about a year.
I need 1712 linear feet just for top rail.

Moved more wood today with the H.F. trailer and the little b. got the wood from some racks in the side yard into the "drying/seasoning pile" in the front yard. That sees the most sun and cross wind.Probably 6-8 heaping loads in the trailer and only found one snake 🐍 🙄. I am not a fan (of snakes), mostly the suprise factor, even if they are good rodent control, except we found another family of mice in the wood pile this morning alive and well. if I'm gonna have snakes I better not have mice and if I'm gonna have mice I wouldn't mind having no snakes, but alas I have both
