Spent 4 hours moving dead and downed Scot pines. I love the seat time but will be glad when I am on the downhill side of the dreaded Scot pine die-off on my oak savanna project. Had help today from a friend and his chainsaw. He told me he estimated that he cut 300 to 400 down in that 4 hour time period. I have moved maybe a 1/3 of them to a brush pile.

I had a Case 224 , Snow Caster and front mount dozer blade before trading to my Kubota B7100. Those Case garden tractors are very cool and tough machines. Thanks for sharing!
They are tanks! Hard to say how many hours these have on them. The one my girl is on is a 73 and the other one is a 74(going by serial # on a chart I found online 🤷‍♂️)I have the front blade and one working mower deck, another deck that’s a good shell and has 2 spindles left on it 😂. Next time I am up to my parents place with my trailer I have an old White garden tractor to pick up and a 2n. The White was what I grew up with at home and my grandpa ran a few Whites on his farm (lots of hours riding on his lap in them 😂). The 2n was bought new by my great grandpa.

IF memory serves me, mine was purchased new in 1974. The previous owner gave me the owners manual with a hand written date of purchase in it.
You said it right "tank" !

I just realized where you are at! I worked at the dealer in Winneconne for a couple years.

edit: sorry for the random thought 😂 for those that didn’t know Winneconne was where those little Case mowers were built.

Small world! I have a good friend that has 80 acres on the south side of Lake Poygan. She lovers Her Kubota Rtv 1100 four seater. I was in Winneconne recently picking up a shoulder mount from Red Simpson Taxidermy. Neat little river town!

I tilled two food plots with my L3560 and 70/80's vintage yellow john deere tiller. Then trimmed about 2 miles of roads with the MX5400 and lane shark.

A little more chipping today and then some time to clean up a bit. Not a detail or even a wash but a short session with a blower made a big difference. The L already had its turn and the T was still waiting for the blower at the time of the family portrait.

I finished welding the deadman on 3 gate/corner posts. Those corners & gates should not move again. Spread some dirt in the area to displace some water (if it ever rains).

Tree job today for a repeat client that wanted to start some privacy screening. After I told him that he didn't need a permit for trees but he would absolutely need one for a fence, that was an easy sell.

I had my nephew dig some of the holes (first time on a machine...and he loved it!). I would be inclined to tell you all that giving someone an opportunity to run a machine for the first time makes it all worth it to me. I absolutely enjoy the opportunity to show someone how to do it (tractor or mini excavator). The expression on their faces is priceless (to me anyway).

Diggy:

On to the next one tomorrow...sewer line repair ;)
Looks very nice!
The nephew legs are too long, or....the machine is too small.;)

Finished chipping the pile after the water went down this morning. All in all it was a little over 20 hours of work. Was right at 200 hours when I finished so I did the 200 hr service this afternoon.
I still have more trees/limbs to go after but I need the fields to dry out more.

(bx2380) 50 hr service at (ahem) 70hrs. (oops)
No idea how much I saved by doing it myself, but surely hundreds $$ (??)

I found a few small random "bits" of white sealant and 1 rather big piece of white sealant in the drainpan for the hydraulic fluid the size of a good sized big toenail clipping and perhaps 20 or 30 "dots" of white sealant on the strainer. (so almost nothing...maybe 2-3% of the strainer was blocked up. Maybe less.

There was a tiny greyish metallic looking thing stuck to the strainer which could've been aluminum but when I went to touch it, it fell into the gravel driveway never to be seen again. It was softish and not sharp steel for sure. It may have even been another type of sealant for all I know. I estimate ~13L of fluid (not the 11.3L per the manual) so it was good that I had a 3rd jug on hand.

No pix of strainer I am afraid.

My shop manual says 3.3 gallons, or about 12½ litres. When I did mine, I put about 13 litres in it, and registered right at the full mark on the dipstick.

Thanks Jim,

That jives 100% with what I saw ! I think there's a conversion typo in my OPM & WSM both.
They say 3 US Gal, then say 11.3L (but it's just like you said....12.5L)

Cheers from NB

Sewer and water line...all rolled into one (ditch that is) :)

I didn't get many shots of the sewer line repair. It was pretty easy, down 6 feet and we were able to push a new 4" pvc line inside of the existing 6" terra cotta way out into the street by the main. Backfilled that and connected a new copper water service as well.

Here's a few shots:

Tow rig: quick funny story. I forgot to lock this very same door on friday after a job. Made a pretty sharp left hander at speed and looked at my right mirror to see that my door was wide open at 40 mph! :( Got home and found that none of my tools left the truck. I thought for sure that I had lost at least a chainsaw somewhere on Rt 22.

Good day, nothing broke and only dislocated my thumb for a bit. The guys worked hard.

Water line is expensive copper?
Why not NSF Polyflex pipe?

My L2501 turned 100hrs today. I have only had it 5 months. I have all of the filters and motor oil, still need the hydraulic fluid.
Spent most of the day burning 2 large brush piles for a food plot for the bees.
Here are a few pictures.
These are piles 4 and 5. Forgot about the first 3.

This is what things looked like before starting.
food plot 3.jpg

First pile before burning today.
Foodplot 1.jpg

First pile after burning today.

Second pile before burning today. It's hard to see with all of the green, but it's gone now.
food plot 6.jpg

And second pile after burning.
food plot 5.jpg

Only 2 broken hd. hoses so far. I would guess 75 of those 100hrs are using the B77 backhoe.
Time to get back to working bee hives the rest of the week.

Poly is fine for private wells. Any connection to public water supply must be copper (around here anyway).
