Phase 2 and 3 done today.

Phase 2 - remove an old garden bed and grade. no pics

Phase 3- fix an RV parking pad. I can't believe how much stone I wound up using on this. It was getting dark and I needed to get 2 machines back home so no finished pics. Boom mounted laser receiver worked great.

Client tried it it out by parking his massive RV on the finished pad. According to his phone, I was off by 1 degree. I'll take that.

Put my front and rear blades on today to get ready for snow plowing duty. Have knee replacement surgery on Thursday so wanted everything ready in case it snows while I’m going through my physical therapy, which is 6 weeks. Figured I can get on the tractor and drive without issues while healing. Hoping for no snow until end of the month but with the goofy weather patterns lately, may have snow on the ground by thanksgiving. Got 3 1/2 inches of snow last week. Melted in 3 days. Wet heavy stuff.

I purchased the tank with pump and spin on filter already on it. I added the water block cartridge, as I’ve had good luck with them on tanks at work.

Pump is the GPI RB-10
Filter base is from GPI, with their filter also
Water filter is Golden rod water block

Just watch the pipe sizes as GPI makes 3/4” and 1” stuff.

I notice that the Vevor tanks come with a fuel filter but none of the JohnDow tanks have them. I've not added fuel filters and/or water separators to the storage tanks since all of my equipment has both, and I never had a fuel related issue filling from 5 gallon containers for many years.

I completely understand the addition of filters and water separators since they're easy to add on and provide redundancy, but are they more important with steel tanks compared to plastic tanks?

Condensation doesn't care if tank is plastic or metal.

I use a 50 gallon tank manufactured by Cresent. I have a 12v pump and use a sediment/moisture filter on it.

A couple of months ago I noticed that the MX left side tie rod guard was bent. I think this happened when I was doing a flail job this past summer at a property that had a bunch of tree stumps and other obstacles hidden in the tall grass. I greased the tractor and loader this morning (got to use the square drive socket again) and figured I'd remove the guard and straighten it for the winter. I'll make up new (better) guards in the spring, and probably for the M6060 as well.

I also ordered three more sets of Outback hydraulic hose markers. I know that some folks think it's a waste of money, but I really like them and they work well for me. My only regret is that the set includes 4A & 4B which I don't need so have a few of those pairs doing nothing.

The tie rod boots on my mx are shredded. I have looked at those guards and it almost looks like they can/should be flipped and provide a bit more protection on the boots. I need to remember to take one off and flip it to see.

Sold a pig yesterday and used to trusty 'ol B7100 to lift the critter out of the pens. Gutted it on the 6x4. Have the innards in a feed bag in the bucket so today it off and into the forest to feed the wildlife. I always place the pile in a spot where I can set up a game cam to see who shows up for the feast. Most of the time the ravens are the most frequent. But have also seen eagles, coyotes or bear. We have bobcats and cougars out there but never caught any on a gut pile.

Mounted a tool box off the ROPS. Thw wife had bought me these ammo boxes years ago, finally did something with them. This was the little one (which was nested inside the bigger one), seemed sbout the perfect size for the BX. I needed about a 1" spacer for the lid to clear all the hardware in that area, so printed a spacer out of some flexible TPU filament, which helps with vibrations in this instance.

Couple photos of the stance with the new 2" wheel spacers as well.

Last week I bolted some quick fist clamps on the other side of the ROPS to mount a shovel

And previous to that I removed the bolt on hooks on the bucket and replaced with the JU Fabworks work plate.

And last years mod of the fuel filter relocation kit.

I took the tranfer tank in town and put 50 gallons in it. I wish I had noticed that one of the boards on the home made skid was starting to rot.

Been dry here so I’ve been letting the leaves pile up and blow off on their own but with rain forecast later in the week figured I should blow the gutters on the three houses and get at least most of the leaves mulched/removed. Needed to take the winch off the L and put on the leaf rake.

Before doing that, revisited a maple that fell across a path earlier this year. Had already cut it up enough to clear the path. Skidded a couple logs back to the wood yard to work up later. Dropped the winch onto its dolly and rolled back into storage. Pulled the rake out of the shed so it will be ready to go tomorrow morning.

This will be the first round of leaf removal. Hopefully one more round in a few weeks will finish it. Only thing I don’t like about this time of year is the area around the houses looks a mess. If I get up every leaf in the yards and in the road tomorrow, by Friday it will look like I didn’t do anything at all.

If you are talking about underneath, I used one of those "plastic" air conditioner pads that look like concrete. I did not want anything that would sweat or rot.
