I may have been busting onthe B with out reason. It was half way warm today so I plowed out with the BX and looked at the B with disgust and distain. It felt very unstable to me and chasing down hydro leaks well that should not have been something to do on a new tractor. And I like someone else have a valve stem come off in my hand when I was going to check the tires. So like I said it was half war warm 37f and I started going over the B again and for some reason I figured I would check tire pressure. Something I should have done when I had to RE TOURQUE all the wheels and FEL sub frame and started chasing leaks. Well one tire had zip nada none empty of any sort of atmospheric pressure and that was a back tire, and when I pumped air in to it AFTER MAKING SURE THE VALVE STEM WAS TIGHT, it freekin bubbled yep one day when it warms up I will see how full it is, MAYBE NOT TO MUCH. The other 3 tires went from 30psi on a front to about 10 in the other rear. So I did 20 in all of them for right now. One would think a shop would have checked simple things like tires, right And 2 quarts of hydro, but I figure that may be due to FEL and Grapple. So we shall see how things shake here before to long again. And yeah I know the dealer reads this forum he told me as much

When I hear about dealers like that I stay completely away from them.......Grrrrr........there are other dealers out there that want business and will do you right...finding one sometimes is the problem.
Now I'll go check my BP....Grrrrrr#$&)+?

20psi sounds like a lot for the rears and a little soft for the fronts if you use a loader

Skeets ive found the B to be surprisingly good about keeping air, much better than the BX was. But mine has had a few leaks to tighten up too.... cant believe your tire bubbled :(

I have been running 30F and 35R PSI and it seems to hold pressure.

When I had the B3200 I had trouble with the front tires loosing air from day 1 but my dealer was good enough to put tubes in them for me. Hang tight skeets, when you get the bugs worked out you'll learn to love your new tractor.

Skeets,

I too had issues with my dealer at the 50 hour service (made a long post about it). The manager called me, we talked and he asked for another opportunity to make it right. When I took it in the second time, the job was completed as I would of expected.

I'm assuming you have already to the dealer and in my case I was glad I did, because it has restored my confidence back into the dealership. I'm cautious optimistic that I won't have any further issues like my first service with them.

I have gotten the blank stare from my dealer a lot. The exception is my parts counter guy. Former Boeing mechanic and A&P, man i love that guy! He is the most valuable asset that place has.
I have a LARGE grip as in 2 90+ horsepower tractors.

You're talking to a brick wall my friend, better off ignoring.
Thank you Bear, this is good advice, I will take it.

moving back to off-topic :)

@skeets I'll add to your gripes... Today I did my 50 hours service, additionally I changed all the HST fluid, not sure why, just felt like it. I figured id drain 50 hour old fluid and it would come out amber, nope. Second, they shot so much gray paint under this thing, all the drain bolts, all the crush washers, were totally caked in paint. Last, the Engine oil filter. it leaks into a cavity that you cant clean once you spin the new one on, then old oil dribbles out from the plate under the motor, its really throwing off my OCD

Something like this can easily be made from an empty washer fluid jug, 1/2 gallon milk jug, etc, for next time. Slide it under the filter before you unscrew it 😁

just to make a note of the crush washers for the drains...
I wish I had ordered these beforehand. I was planning on reusing, but they were so caked up with paint and deformed I had to go digging for similar ones from my stash.

@B737 - the 50hr service is an often-discussed topic. I firmly believe that it is important to dump everything. Others don’t subscribe and that’s okay.
Years ago, the manuals dictated changing fluids at 50, but that’s since changed.
My BX was a “leftover” model that may have sat on the lot for a while. Probably not a common issue in recent history since units arein short supply.

I agree @RCW, I was researching here, and saw people doing it both ways. I figured why not, then at least I'll know it has (mostly) SUDT2 in it. I really expected the fluid to come out as its normal clearish yellowish color. I was surprised. I should have taken a sample but didnt think of it until after the fact.

Ive also read about people cleaning magnets but I did not find any magnets to wipe off anywhere, or see any mention of them in the book for 2601.
