Hopefully going to get my loaner blade today just before tomorrow AM's snow.

I bought my L2501 with a 72" finisher, 72" blade, QH and 48" forks. Every thing is Land Pride minus the forks. (Premier brand, locally made, beefier and cheaper.) The blade ended up having some nasty sun fade and my salesman said it was unacceptable. I agreed as all my stuff is going to be garage kept.

Anyways, he said I could borrow the sun faded blade until mine came in next month, but the blade didn't come with the tractor when I took delivery mid December. No big deal as I currently didn't need it and it was 50*F.

I tried the FEL on the pavement last weekend and just tore stuff up. Gave him a buzz mid week saying I needed the blade for this weekend so hopefully he'll have it delivered today. Shame on me for waiting last minute, but I genuinely tried with the FEL.

The storm saturday night will be the first decent test of the new BX setup with the blower. I'm quite excited to see this thing put to work. I'm coming off a 300 pounds beast of a 9Hp walk-behind that took me 2 hours to clear my driveway.

Here's me testing it out!

12" to 22" forecast on news tonight for Sunday. I can't wait to try out the Kubota and the new hydro snow blower.
That sucker ought to handle it.
You driving the blower with a PTO driven pump, or off the tractor's system?

How do I deal with snow.........

I've got 32 horse power, V bar chains on loaded turfs, FEL, and a 3pt snow blower.

I deal with it in short time periods until my hands get too cold then it is time for a warm up and a cup of tea. Fortunately we have no time tables to keep so getting it done is not a rushed procedure.

Until I can get a snow blower for my 2230, this is my old reliable '91 JD 430.
Does a good job on whatever snow we get around here.

Just finished installing the plow yesterday and hope to give it a trial run tonight or tomorrow. My rear blower is still on the L3200.

Tractor on the left is my BIL's 4740. He has a Woods snow blower (84" I think) for the other end of his. He's letting me occupy part of his new barn till I can get space here.

PTO pump and tank hang off the 3PH. These tractors don't have the volume or pressure needed for hydraulic blowers. Erskine made this one.

I moved A LOT of snow with a '96 JD425 with 2-stage blower. 4WD is pretty handy on the Kubota!

What is hangin' on the rack there?!?!

Polaris Ranger 800, full cab, heater, manual windshield wiper, Boss fully hydraulic plow. Has handled everything we've had so far. Worst it's seen was a mix of 8" of wet and frozen snow and it pushed with no problem. There's a 1,500' access road on about a 17 degree slope next to my house. This Ranger will plow snow coming UP that road with no problem.

This is my first winter having the B2601, but I'm hoping for enough snow to be able to use the tractor to build an igloo for my toddler son to play in. Just like my pops did for me!

I would prefer to handle snowfall via my Lazy Boy recliner and a good book but we all know it don't work that way...

That's my 1970 Nova SS project. I bought it a few years back, looked pretty solid. After about 5 years some rust started showing, and well, one thing led to another. I ended up having the entire floor, firewall, tail light panel, most of the trunk and both rear quarters replaced. Not much original metal left, but it's 100% solid and rust free now.
Once it warms up, I'm going to get it ready for paint. Once painted, I have everything to put it back together.
Before and after pictures.

B2920 with a B2782B 63” snowblower is my snow weapon. Depending on temperature, a pair of Carhartt overalls, Carhartt coat and snowmobile helmet keeps me warm and dry.

How? Happily, if we'd get some! We had one decent storm, so far, but nothing else in sight.
JD 5065E with cab, loader, and rear blade; open cab skid steer with either bucket or snow plow; JD 790 with rear blade.
