How do you deal with snow?

Well that is great news, congrats. Yours attach on the rear of your blower if I'm correct and that may be the difference. Mine attach up front on the sides, back to the drawing board. How long an area do you have to clear?

Bear - my driveway is short but wide. Maybe 75’ long by 30 wide with turnarounds, etc. and short 40’ x 15’ incline at 90 degrees down to the road.
I kept checking on them...should have painted them orange!

Yes, mine are inboard and in the back. I’ve tinkered with them a couple times.

That's my 1970 Nova SS project. I bought it a few years back, looked pretty solid. After about 5 years some rust started showing, and well, one thing led to another. I ended up having the entire floor, firewall, tail light panel, most of the trunk and both rear quarters replaced. Not much original metal left, but it's 100% solid and rust free now.
Once it warms up, I'm going to get it ready for paint. Once painted, I have everything to put it back together.

Very nice!! Buddy of mine has a 74 SS and being so light it works pretty good for only having a slightly modded small block in it. Looking forward to seeing it finished.

My BX1880 with loader and rear blade works pretty well for me. Definitely need the loader to move snow up and over some stone walls that border my driveway.

OK, you made the fatal mistake of showing that car in front of a hangar. Is that an IO-520-powered Bonanza with a McCauley 3-blade prop on it?

One nice thing about having the big plow on the loader frame is, I can roll it back and use the plow as a scoop to pile the snow as high as I want to. Did that down the road at the neighbors with no place to put it. Just made a huge pile about 12 feet high.

Will probably be there until May....

Yesterday it warmed up to only -15C, with a good stiff wind behind it. Bloody cold outside, and only just bearable inside the cab. Couldn't see my breath... most of the time, but after a long transit to a neighbor the combination of forward speed and facing that wind just overpowered the heater.

Dagnabbit! As I've been writing this the plow has just gone by again, pushing all the drifted snow from the road into the end of the driveway. So much for not having to fire up the tractor today.

Not familiar with Metric temperatures but it still sounds cold. Minus anything is still minus. I prefer to be on the plus side of the thermometer myself. Like +80 (f).

This last storm was the first I got to really test out the front mount blower on the BX1880. Holy crap! Ate through a 40"+ high snowbank without losing a single RPM....just drove on through.

The snow was so sand-like and cold it was actually throwing TOO far. Had to tone down RPMS and the chute to keep the snow on my property!

Still waiting for a nice 20" of wet noreaster to put it through its paces.

As predicted, the massive upgrade in snow equipment has so far guaranteed a low snowfall winter. Perhaps we'll get another Feb 2015 and get 100+" in less than 6 weeks.

You can surely tell the difference between people with good snow removal equipment and those who don't have good snow removal equipment.

Those of us with a nice Kubota, front mount blower and maybe even a heated cab think about big snowstorms and say, "BRING IT ON!!!!"

(When I hear a forecast of a big snowstorm coming, I check to ensure my jerry can of diesel is full - that's about as worked up as I get!)

I left the 10 foot snowplow sit in the side yard next to the hip roof barn to scare the snow god's away and it worked until Sunday but 12" of blowing drifting snow was a walk in the park for the M9 and the plow anyway.

it's parked again (off the tractor) in the side yard. Gotta keep the snow gods on their toes.

I get snow at my place in the mountains, but there hasn't been enough to worry about (<12") since I got the tractor. If it's less than 12", I just drive through it with my F350. The year we built the cabin, (1986) we had 40" on the flat, but nothing like that since.
If I am up there and get tired of snow, I can just drive about 60 miles & be out of it, one of the advantages of living in Arizona.

Bet that Farmall could drive the blower pretty well before it went on the L5740...
I relate tractors from my generation, but I like both of them!
