Our previous premier Wynne blew 2-3 BILLION on payouts to NOT build a refinery here in Ontario..
don't get me going on THAT ...

BTW,,,, skuttle butt is that AMAZON will be charging for deliveries $1 to $5 per package( not per order...)
My guess instead of Amazon charging more, they will go back to using the Post Office. My assumption is that many of the stores will go back to using the Post Office since they can't adjust their rates like the private companies can. It will be a slow delivery, but they will be able to keep their margins and still offer "free shipping".

Not to argue, but 17 gallons in a geo metro???guessing that was from previous customer, still crazy
I would assume so. Or...... they need to raise hell and get the inspector out cause the pump is way off.

I asked my wife and she said she thought they had a Geo Metro. I have never been to their house in CA, so I couldn't honestly tell you what they have. Yet as you pointed out, $90 for 17 gallons is still a lot. Especially when I started driving many years again, could get fuel for less than 50 cents a gallon.

The last time fuel economy became important (and Michigan lowered the speed limit) I thought car manufacturers ought to post a little graph of fuel usage in mpg versus speed for the different models instead of just MPG on their window stickers. The best fuel economy is NOT at 75 as most drivers around here would seem to think. My 2003 Duramax diesel averages 21 mpg, but if I dial it back to 55 or so on the fwy it will run at 27mpg.
Just stay outta the left lane if you do that. Please. I asked nicely.

Yes, they have been increasing worldwide all year as the oil companies have had to ramp up after losing big bucks during 2020 due to Covid. Thanks to the law enacted by Congress US oil is now exported and is priced on the world market.
The big companies didn't LOSE anything. They just didn't make as much as they wanted to. Profits down is not a loss. It's a fake loss.

And to think I can remember raising hell when it cost me more than $3.00 to fill up a 1964 VW Beetle (10 gallon tank).

Of course. The law around here, not always followed, is everyone stays out of left lane unless passing. Things change, but there is a maximum and minimum speed for cars, and semis may have a lower upper speed limit.

You are like a cute little excuse box full of wrong answers.

Prices were still going down (DURING COVID) until the day of the election.

The USA is the worlds largest producer of oil. When America does good, most of the free world around us does as well. When we create oil policys that have a detrimental effect on production, it effects the price around the whole world.

Go ahead and give the excuse box a little shake, whats the next excuse?

This post struck me as blatantly political in content, and I was curious to reread the rules for posting at OTT...I believe they say something about no political or religious posts.

BUT as the moron I am, I could not find them, and I think I clicked on everything possible on the main forum web page, and maybe elsewhere.

So if someone can point me to where the rules are listed, I would appreciate it. Just want to review for my personal understanding.
