You had to watch Ferris Beuller's Day Off when you were in Junior high. I was over at a friend's house a couple of decades ago. He was flipping through the channels and easy rider was coming on. He was talking about what a great movie it was, so we started watching it. About 20 minutes in, he looked at me and said "This movie sucks if you aren't high. " A lot of the movies that I loved as a young man didn't age well.
I remember when the first generation Ford Taurus/Mercury Sable first came out they looked so space age and cool. Looking back now it's yuck, what was I thinking!

"It has a 24-valve V-6 engine that produces 220 hp. From a standing start, it can reach 60 mph in 6.7 seconds. Its top speed is a hair-straightening 143 mph. It has room for five adults and a healthy allotment of luggage. And it can be purchased for less than $20,000."

Younger generations would ask why it's necessary to curse when you write or why you're not using your phone to text it. It's rather shocking how few can actually READ cursive writing these days, let alone write with it. "No child left behind!" is working. Very well.

Depends on your point of view.
A tool vendor and friend once asked why I could not read and write Japanese as many of my tool sets were from Japan? He could read and write in several languages. Humbled me very quickly.

あなたはこれを読むことができます - Translated to, "Can you read this" according to my app.

The reverse is also true as my teenage grand kid has often asked why grand ma is so phone app ignorant. She does ask to be mean, she just can not understand why we do not accept the change as readily as she does.
