Younger generations would ask why it's necessary to curse when you write or why you're not using your phone to text it. It's rather shocking how few can actually READ cursive writing these days, let alone write with it. "No child left behind!" is working. Very well.

A tool vendor and friend once asked why I could not read and write Japanese as many of my tool sets were from Japan? He could read and write in several languages. Humbled me very quickly.

あなたはこれを読むことができます - Translated to, "Can you read this" according to my app.

The reverse is also true as my teenage grand kid has often asked why grand ma is so phone app ignorant. She does ask to be mean, she just can not understand why we do not accept the change as readily as she does.

Didn't mean to hijack, but @Magicman posted a meme that really hits home. I don't always agree with everyone in this forum, nor certainly everyone's opinions. But I always hope to LEARN SOMETHING from them. I don't expect everyone to think the same way I do. If they did, what could I possibly offer them of value?
