Arizona's peak new cases per day was 740, then began tapering off.
Then they opened up the state, and virtually everyone stopped distancing and using masks & sanitizer- last figure I saw was 1600+ new cases per day.
Morons.
Latest new cases per day- 2392. Reopening without distancing & masks really working here.

Wife told me that Florida was over 2000 cases on Monday... Morons as well.

Lots of sick and probably deceased morons as well.

Yp. Not sure how much of the virus thing I believe, but being at risk & caring for the wife's folks who are at extremely high risk, I gotta err on the safe side. Not much doubt about the result from older folks being infected.

I see the state CDC director here in Maine mention bars opening up and Jacksonville Fla and somewhere else had virus transmited person to person or drunk to drunk..so our Gov might keep the bars closed here indefinitely.

You'd think an alcohol laced breath would be pretty germ free. Just stink. :p

One day, maybe, we in the U.S. will know how we are being manipulated in order to achieve a certain goal. Part of that manipulation is to cause great stress and anxiety. There are "lies, damned lies, and statistics."

I suggest that we concern ourselves with the reality we live in instead of the image being portrayed by the media. All these "new cases" are not necessarily people who were previously virus free now having the virus and are ill. With all these mobile testing sites which check to see who has the virus and who has the anti-virus are reporting numbers - not "sick people." However, what do people hear when these numbers are announced? For those who are feeling doomed, they may hear "people about to die." This feeds into the stress and anxiety that the people in control of the media want. Look around yourself - how many sick people do you actually know?

Do you know if the sick people have the flu? Do they have seasonal allergies? Do they have pneumonia? Do they have the common cold? Are there so many of them that you see some kind of doomsday event?

"New cases" does not equal "sick people."

Perhaps folks should read this report: https://technocracy.news/blaylock-face-masks-pose-serious-risks-to-the-healthy/

Dr. Russell Blaylock warns that not only do face masks fail to protect the healthy from getting sick, but they also create serious health risks to the wearer. The bottom line is that if you are not sick, you should not wear a face mask.

Several studies have indeed found significant problems with wearing such a mask. This can vary from headaches, to increased airway resistance, carbon dioxide accumulation, to hypoxia, all the way to serious life-threatening complications.

This sets the stage for contracting any infection, including COVID-19 and making the consequences of that infection much graver. In essence, your mask may very well put you at an increased risk of infections and if so, having a much worse outcome.

Just another (in a long series) of opinions. Think I'll stick with a mask.

Personal choice. Being an adult, I can (and will) do that.

What you do and the consequences of your actions are entirely on you...as an adult.

Here is the Jacksonville incident that WFM was referring to, and another where masks were helpful. What we need is a mask with a hole for a straw! Hard to drink with a mask on. :ROFLMAO:

While one robin does not make it spring, these are real world examples.

My wife and I have no issue with being hermits. In fact we like it. I don't like interacting with fools anyway.

Thank you! My vet was wearing a comfortable looking type this morning, kn95, and Minerva had them. I had to order a bunch to meet their minimum order so I hope I like them. Shipping is a killer. The coupon helped!

When my wife worked through the Ebola situation she had a full body suit, face shield and an n95 mask. That PPE specification has been relaxed since then. That mask was personally fitted to her face contours. If an n95 mask doesn't fit tightly, it's no better than a regular surgical mask. And a surgical mask is probably only slightly better than either a cloth mask or bandana. The whole point is to protect others not to protect yourself.

I have tried to find out the total number of deaths in the US for Jan - May, 2020 . I would like to compare that number to the to total number of deaths for 2015 - 2019 by year. I was looking for the increase in death rate and avoid all the massaging of the numbers done by the government. In Jan of 2019 x number of people died in the US vs Jan 2020 the number of people that died and do it for each month. I do not care why they died. To track the impact of the virus without all the bs.
That turns out to be easier said than done. I remember reading an article that discussed it a couple of weeks ago, and if I find it I'll post a link. One of the several problems with making a valid comparison is the changes in the way the numbers are calculated and reported, and then there is the problem of interpreting what it means. You would think any increase or not could be attributed to covid, but a bunch of things that are being done affect who dies. Deaths due to flu drop because staying home, masks and social isolation etc also block the spread of flu. Staying home also reduces deaths due to traffic accidents. Still it would be interesting to see the numbers.

Just a heads up. I called the company and they gave me a much better shipping price ($15 to Idaho). The website shipping prices were crazy. Customer service was good to work with. I just ordered 20pcs of that mask

On masks being unhealthy:
This can vary from headaches, to increased airway resistance, carbon dioxide accumulation, to hypoxia, all the way to serious life-threatening complications.
I guess all those people who wear masks daily as part of their job for the last 50 years or so must all be dead. Yup, haven't seen any landscapers, concrete plant workers, auto body men, woodworkers, painters, miners, quarry men, doctors, nurses, paramedics, chemical plant workers, brake & clutch plant workers, construction workers, heavy equipment operators, etc, etc, etc.
Must all be gone. Sheesh.
