I know I’ll get no sympathy here from you folks who live up “Nawth”…. but 17-degrees here in the Hill Country of Texas is a rare event. Brrr…. (got a warm fire in the fireplace tho’ and a glass of Bourbon to soothe me over it.)
You do get some sympathy from this northerner. Most of us are far better prepared for the really cold weather.

44F here. Drainage ditch , made by nature, is flowing heavy and starting to spread well past the banks.
Well below the house. It will let the new neighbor see why nobody has built on the property between us. The land was added to their plot decades ago. They are the third summer family that has asked about the land and I tell them it is wetland and will flood. It is always fun when they see just how fast the lower section gets under water.
Have to travel for kid's doctor's appointment later and hoping to beat the cold front and sudden freeze up.

-6 feels like -26 here in deep southern Illinois. Crazy part, next weekend it’s going to be in the 50s.

We're at -4 this morning, but getting to +6 for a high today. Ground covered with a couple inches of snow and wind at 20-25 MPH.

Suppose to warm up gradually as time goes on, but I can't imagine paying $150 for a game ticket and parking is $65 and it's going to be +2 deg tomorrow at noon when the Chief's play. I guess that's where the term "fan" came from ..... "fanatic"!! And you get to set in it for three hours. See, using an open tractor in the snow isn't so bad! ;)

We went from 44 to -9 overnight. Got snow but with 30 MPH winds not much to see. I can see that the drive is clear. Weather service said we should have gotten 5”. Pirate and I will hold down the couch for a bit this morning till the coffee finishes out.

Max went outside, after five minutes to do his business and then the big, tough Rottweiler was ready to be under his blankets.

Well, service truck is froze up 🫤🫤🫤. Got the block heater plugged in for about 40 minutes. Just tried it, and still a no go. Will try it again in a half hour or so. Hope I didn't get a batch summer diesel when I fueled up the truck yesterday. If I did, I probably won't be able to get it going till maybe Monday when it warms up. 🙄🙄🙄🙄

Currently 5° out. Was 1° when I got up with morning.

-7°F here in Southern Indiana with 45 mph wind gusts. We got about 4" of snow. Going to wait a couple of hours to clear things off. Hopefully the wind dies down. It was about -10°F at sunrise. The tractor started up with no problems.

-5F here with 25mph winds. Plowed driveway and 3 of my elderly neighbors. Sure glad I've got a cab with heat. Next week, we just might hit 50F

Yeah, 11°F here this morning. All of my pipes are fine BUT the pump station (at our rural water supply) is frozen....just like last year. So no water.

damn Fords! 😂😂😂
🤣😅🤣😅 Ain't that the truth 👍👍👍👍 1.5 hrs on the block heater and it fired up like it was a nice spring day. Kicked the Pto in on it so it would stay at a high idle. Man that sounded like it was chewing on gravel 😅🤣🤣😅 Smoothed out after the hydraulic oil warmed up a touch 👍👍👍👍

Got a few neighbors out of their houses to see what the racket was 😅🤣😅🤣😅🤣

It's not too bad, but I'd like some of the recent global warming to happen during the hottest days of summer. :D

It was 6 in north MS. Now I know where our warm air went! Hope you enjoy it.
