Anyone try these (BX tractor upgrade)?

I'm still not seeing any proof of folks using them. I see a video where they show "how many lbs it can lift" with a scale, but still nothing showing it actually lifting a thing, either higher or bigger (heavier). Could you provide links to such things? I'm not calling you out, more so the company for failing to show actual use cases of their product doing the thing they claim. I want to believe that they'll work, but I'm not willing to drop $900 + a weekend of my time, to hopefully get something that may do a task better? I don't use facebook, and a simple search yields the same videos from a year ago..
If you don't use Facebook, you can't see the group posts, unless you join the group.

FWIW, website forums are not the only source of information for "any" tractors.

and the money you 'saved' can go for better tires !!!

I'd like to hear for some real users as well, especially if they UPGRADED the front tires. Check the sidewall rating if you want to know why....
What are the front tire options (upgrades)?
I have Turf and Industrial, both tubed by the previous owner to keep the air in. Used Search() to no avail.

The $1000 cylinder guy mentioned he had a couple false starts on replacing the cylinders. Has anyone but him done this?

We hashed this out a while back. At the time I suggested some off the shelf cylinders that looked like they would accomplish the same thing. Dont remember the specifics but you should be able to find the thread. If you have a BX measure the retracted and fully extended length of the OEM cylinders then go shopping.

FWIW, the guy at HydrosPlus had them built to his specs per tractor.

I was also considering the 35% additional lifting capacity of larger diameter cylinders, and separate from that would be one foot additional lifting height for lighter loads...but one thing the previous owner said is he put tubes in the BX front tires because they're over-stressed under full load and the rim bead would not hold the tire. He also said to always inflate the front tires to maximum pressure when using the FEL, even with the tubes.

Then there's the point about possibly over-stressing the front axles...

Thanks for the dialog, saved me money up front and maybe having to replace a set of axles.
Do everybody (including me 😀 ) a small favor and take a tape measure with you the next time you use your tractor. Measure the fully retracted and extended center to center length of your OEM cylinders. Thats the only "spec" of interest and I will see how close I can get using off the shelf 1.75" cylinders @$375 per set. Then everybody can ,make a more informed decision on the worth of paying someone an additional $500 for a custom length.

I have them and they work as advertised. I just don't keep a camera with me when doing work on my Kubota. It doesn't matter to me if you believe me or not, I am not posting here for that purpose.

Nobody should doubt they work as advertised. Its simple physics.

Since you have a set next time you use your tractor take a couple minutes and measure the fully retracted and extended length so folks will know what they are getting for their money Thats the data the seller seems to be unwilling to share.

I had the same thoughts, once I heard these cylinders were coming available. Others thought the same. I spent a lot of time scouring the FB groups for the HP "specs", and nothing was ever mentioned.

The asking price of the HP cylinders is STEEP, IMO, but when there are no other comparable options, the guy selling them knows people will come his way. Lots of people have, and they're happy with them.

I'd be more inclined to buy them, if they weren't so dang expensive.

I'd welcome seeing what was readily available - off the shelf.

Magister sells a 1.75 x 14" cylinder for $183 delivered but the rod end protrudes 8.75" beyond the barrel. Its about 6" too long. Buy 2, take them to your local welding shop andcl tell them to take 6" off the rod end and even after paying them you are still way ahead.

Or you can buy a 2 x 14" cylinder for $190: each and it fits without modification. You will increase lift force by 70% so exercise some common sense.

With me, I'm not one to be a beta tester. The lure with the HP cylinders, are they've been R&D'd and they're a bolt-in upgrade.

Yes, they are convenient.
Yes, they work as advertised.
Yes, the "cylinders" have a warranty.

Beyond that, no other warranty or guarantee applies to the install or use of.

I have been researching this the past few days and was looking at aftermarket cylinders. I can't see paying this guys prices when they're available so much cheaper elsewhere.

Exactly. Its hard to make a direct comparison without the specifics of his cylinder but simple arithmetic suggests you can get darn close for 1/2 or less of what he wants. Your choices in 1.75 bore are pretty limited but there are lots of options if you go 2".

Again, I'm not calling you out, there was zero finger pointing or saying you're a liar. I just want to see these things in operation, other than a dude pulling a scale on the ground, or lifting an EMPTY bucket higher. I'm sure the physics are there, larger cylinders should produce more power given more capacity for fluid in the cylinder. I'd just like to see these things in action, again, it's $900 and a weekend of work (at least for me), so seeing is believing. Strange the company doesn't focus on showing off their products actual ability.

I will try and remember to measure pin to pin on my LA526 tonight and see what I get. If I can find some cylinders that work, I will order them tomorrow and test them out.

I think if I were to go with 2" cylinders I'd want to install a limiter valve so as to not go past 35% additional lift capacity over OEM.

And the next part is if the FEL can lift 35% more shouldn't it curl 35% more also??? As long as we're discussing cylinders we might as well discuss the curl cylinder.

No. The lift force increases because the cross sectional piston area of the lift cylinders is greater. The piston area of the bucket cylinders is not changed so no change to dump and curl force.

If you want to limit lift force you would need four port reliefs - cost just went way up. It would be cheaper to cut down the 1.75" cylinders I linked.
