    Snow Removal.

You might need chains on the rear, but otherwise, I see people using lawn tractors around here although most have blades on the front. I don't know, but I think the shaft drive would have less of a tendency to fail at inopportune times. Belts tend to slip more when it's cold/whet and can come...

    Snow Removal.

Interestingly enough, many of us don't want to live in the "best" states. It depends on what they consider in their rankings.

Park it where it is less visible or build or plant a screening wall.

    L4802 vs MX5400

The MX is a lot more tractor, but obviously will cost more.

    Convince me… LX3310 to L3560

Does the L3560 have the upgraded loader? If so, that’s a lot of lift difference, the L3560 also has a better HST. The 10 LX has an abnormally loud HST. I would do the trade, but it will do more lawn damage and doesn’t have a midPTO. Personally, I use chains for snow, so in that respect R4s...

So what would you tell your grand kids?

No reason other than that's what people in our society primarily does. To me, it's like why face makeup is usually only worn by women/girls. However, war paint was worn by men in the Native American tribes. Kind of a contradiction. I'd be more worried about the grandkids making your...

    Advice from L3902 HST owners

I don't mow that much, but I've always heard it's better to have a cab when you mow nests, have dusty conditions, lots of pollen, etc. ;) I think I'd buy a larger mower like a 12 ft batwing and use the M.

L3302 what size box blade and rotary cutter?

My dealer recommended a 6 ft rotary cutter for my L2501, but we don't have thick material to cut. I have a 6 ft Grader/Scraper that they recommended as well. Depending on what you plan to do, you might be better off with the Grader/Scraper. For driveway maintenance, the grader/scraper is...

    Puncture proof tires?

I use Berryman Products tire sealer on my lawn mower, UTV, yard trailers, and bicycles. It works really well. I've read that the original slime rusts rims, but Berryman doesn't. I went with R4 tires on my L2501 to have the strongest possible tires. Note: I put the Berryman tire sealer in...

    Buying first Kubota (used)

There are a lot of ways to do the same thing and the terminology varies. Whatever tasks you want to do, do some searches on the task to get some ideas before buying implements. Do be careful of size of them. 4ft will probably be your limit with heavier structured implements although you...

    LX3520 or L3302?

How much are you calling significant and what is the source? But, wouldn't the LX have more issues carrying more weight in the rear since it is quite a bit lighter than the L. I'd consider a Grand L 3560 Limited Edition and add the larger loader over either the LX3520 or L3302 for an open cab...

    I wanted to buy local

It probably would have been cheaper to use SAE new bulk nuts and screws from HD and reuse the washers. But, at least you got it done!

my EV crystal ball was right, again

Seems like they should be retooling to put in Cummins fuel agnostic engines or building something similar. ;)

    L3800 l3901 l2502

I have a L2501. I would have bought a L3800 or L3400 if that would have been an option. I would buy an MX if I had to buy a DPF tractor. Do you have to pay sales tax on the used one? If not, that makes the L3800 an even better deal.

I think I've made my retirement decision....

There are probably some, but few people think they retired too early. The more common case is retiring too late. YMMV.

    $16K repair bill

I don't think the fuel system is that complicated. I guess I'd look for a different shop if you can't do what GreensvilleJay said yourself.

    L series side panels

I'm not sure the pictures show how it really is, but I'd consider taking the other side to a fab shop to see if they can make one for a reasonable price that is close and buy a can of spray paint.

Spring Tooth Rake Showed Up Scratched

I can't think of any way that would work for me for anything. What are you planning on doing with it? Raking limbs?

We are about $3.50 or so for off road diesel. It has been creeping up again though.
