    What is my L2501 worth

Kubota isn't the only one making an L sized tractor at this hp, they're all having to do it now thanks to emissions standards. I don't think it'll hurt resale value at all because it'll be easier to sell a tractor that doesn't have a dpf than one with 1,000 hours and the buyer knows the dpf will...

    Tier 4 emissions on 2014 kubota 4060

I have yet to see DEF sold at any gas station where I live (South Carolina). You can buy it by the gallon at almost any store but I've never seen it sold at the pump.

    L2501

I have one exactly like you're looking at (gear drive, 4x4, fel) and I love it! I'm very glad I went with the gear drive over hydro because it suits my needs perfectly. I don't have any gear whine at all on mine, others might chime in and report different but mines never made any noise like...

2014 Kubota 7040SU with Loader? Need Help

Is this the M7040 or the "economy" 7040su? You said both so I wasn't sure and I couldn't tell from the pic. As far as price goes, I don't see why he couldn't get almost exactly what he paid for it, minus maybe $1000-1500. The M Deeres are good tractors, too much electrical stuff for me though. I...

    Some help choosing a tractor

Like someone said, check out the L2501. The best way to describe it is it's a "little tractor in a big frame at an affordable price". Can be had with hst too, which you said you wanted. I have one and love it! It's my first "small tractor" and I never thought I'd ever have a need for one this...

Found out some more info on the L2501 engine

Why would a dealership mechanic be an unreliable source? They work on these tractors every day and are trained by Kubota. He could be telling a tall tale but I think he'd know more than a random salesman would.

Found out some more info on the L2501 engine

I actually was told that by a mechanic at my Kubota dealership where I bought my tractor. I was there picking up a new decal because apparently one on my loser arm had a scratch in it so they took it off and had to order a new one. I wouldn't have cared about the scratch but apparently they did...

Found out some more info on the L2501 engine

Apparently this engine has been around since the mid-90's in Kubota tractors such as the L3300 and others. Same cubic inch, bore, stroke, everything. Thought that was interesting and figured id pass it on to others who owned this model tractor or were curious about it.

    First tractor L 2501

This displacement engine is used in their mini excavators up to 34hp I believe. Not sure if it's the same model engine but the displacement is identical.

    First tractor L 2501

800 lbs won't make that tractor break a sweat.

    New L2501

To prevent gelling, I use Diesel Kleen. Comes in a white, silver and red bottle. If you have gelled fuel in your tractor I would buy a bottle of the red and pour it in.

    First tractor L 2501

I bought one a couple weeks ago and have been tickled to death by my decision to get it! I initially started out looking at the 3301/3901 but I was always nervous about owning a DPF tractor as all my other tractors are older and don't have any emissions stuff whatsoever. I kept hearing that if...

    L2501 interim bigger tractor

The L2501 doesn't run out of motor in the tasks that I've used it in. This engine only has about 1300rpms to play with because it idles at 1000 and 540 speed is 2000-2100 on the dash. You can make the needle go to 2300 but that's it and it's still not "wound up". In other words you wouldn't know...

    L2501 interim bigger tractor

Condition is everything to me when buying used. In order for me to pay top dollar for something, the tractor and implements would need to be in top condition. How do the implements all look? Without seeing any pics and just going by your description I wouldn't go more than $11500 for everything.

What engine (model number) is in the L2501?

I never drove a hst version of the 2501, I did drive both gear and hst in the 3301 and 3901. This being my first Kubota of any kind, I couldn't really tell you if the whine was abnormally loud or not. There was a whine, but it wasn't anything that made me be cautious about. Having the gear...

What engine (model number) is in the L2501?

I Googled "100 ci Kubota diesel" just to see what would pop up. Found out that an engine this size is used in mini ex's all the way up to 35 hp. Not sure if it's the same exact motor as found in the L2501 but this motor is detuned because when you run it at 540 speed it's not even turned up...

What engine (model number) is in the L2501?

I think the weight of the L makes more use of the 25hp when doing ground engaging tasks. I've never felt it be underpowered, but I only plan to run 4'-5' implements behind it too. I have a 6' scrape blade on it right now and it handles that fine. I'm considering buying a tiller for it, that'll...

What engine (model number) is in the L2501?

I just bought a 2501 last week and I love it! I was debating on the 3301/3901 but all the dpf stuff kept scaring me off and I didn't think I'd need all the power of the 3901. So I asked the dealer about the 2501 and he smiled and said it was probably the best little tractor nobody has heard of(I...
