    Skidding Logs

I use my forks that have a clevis hook mounted to the backstop and a chain with a slip hook on the other. I can easily move the logs around to stack the butts (3 or 4) and then wrap the chain around them. Then drag all the logs to the same spot...use the forks to stack them...sometime lift a few...

    Gas Trucks MPG

2008 GMC 2500HD gas (6.0L) extended cab long bed. I get 12mpg around town, 13/14 on the highway and 9/10 towing a 7000lb load (tractor). So, pretty much all-around poor mileage but I preferred the comfort and power over the Ford (IMO).

    What implement?

I would use a box blade and FEL...till it if you need to break up the sod and smooth it out again.

    Changing Hydraulic filters B3300SU

I'm curious how you hook the shop vac up...did you craft a fitting, or do you have someone hold it on there while you replace the filters?

    Changing Hydraulic filters B3300SU

If you leave the fill cap on (to maintain suction) and raise the tractor up on the side the filter is mounted (park sideways on an incline), you won't lose much fluid. Changing both hydraulic and HST filters I may lose about a gallon...just be ready to screw on the new filter immediately. I...

New Purchase - Land Pride RCR2560

Sounds like about half price of a comparable used one. I bought a similar Woods BB60 with slip clutch and stump jumper for my L3830 and it's a great match. Just keep the blades sharp, oil fresh and RPMs around 2200 when your mowing the heavy stuff.

    BX25 back hoe Jerking/Surging

Yes...I had one made at a local Hydraulic shop for a little less than kubota sells. Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk

    BX25 back hoe Jerking/Surging

Extend the cylinder (assuming you're talking about the boom) and check it with a straight edge. That would be my guess if it's just one cylinder causing the jerking. I recently bent a bucket cylinder on a BH90 diggi out a stubborn stump. Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk

    Axle Seal Question (after market)

Local Auto parts or supplier may be able to help. I did the front hubs on my L3830 and was able to find some of the seals. Problem is you have to get them out and have them in hand. There is usually a manufacturer's number on seals (and bearings if you need them) that they can reference. Sent...

B7510 / LA302 FEL "Float" Position - How SHOULD It Work?

My L3830 fel control has stuck on me a couple times. Water seems to get in the end of the spool covers and mess with the piston/detent. Use caution pulling those covers off as sometimes the ball bearing has already slipped by and the spring/5 balls will go flying. Remove slowly and put your hand...

    D1105 shakes at idle

I would guess cylinder compression or injectors. I don't know too much, other than you really need a tester to see if volume and timing of injectors are functioning properly (worn or sticking). Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk

Loader can only lift its own weight

It took me some time to get back to this, but I've assembled a gauge to measure the pressure at the loader control valve. The pressure hits 2300 psi and stays there when I operate the valve. I'm not sure what the pressure should be, but I believe I read somewhere else on this site that this was...

Loader can only lift its own weight

I removed the backhoe yesterday to see if that was possibly the source...still have the same problem. I found the relief valve under the seat - removed and cleaned it - still have the same problem. I've read there is a similar relief in the loader control valve and will look for that today.

Loader can only lift its own weight

I was able to lift the machine with the backhoe at engine idle - no problem. Can you tell me where the loader pressure detent is and how I would go about checking it? I've read something about an adjustment at a "hydraulic distribution block" that controls flow between the loader and 3-point? I...

Loader can only lift its own weight

I did check the outriggers (raising/lowering both simultaneously) last night and was able to lift the machine. I'll try your other suggestions tonight and post back details. I have noticed before that the backhoe operation was odd, but this is my first tractor, I did not own it when new and...

Loader can only lift its own weight

My backhoe hydraulic is part of the loop...there isn't a shutoff to bypass it...the fluid is continuously (I believe) flowing to the backhoe as it is always active...there's isn't a shutoff that I could see on the machine or in the manual. I added a bit of fluid, but it only took a...

Loader can only lift its own weight

I should have mentioned, fluid level is just above the minimum line (same as it was before I did the service). There are two rear remotes, but there is nothing connected. The control springs back to center after they are engaged, so I believe that means they are in neutral. I'm not sure what...

Loader can only lift its own weight

Although this is my first post, I've been reading up on my L3830HST here since I've owned it. I really just started using my tractor last year. Bought it second hand and it now has 1610 hours on it. I'm now stuck with a problem that I can't find any information on. With no weight in the bucket...
