Hello. First post, first tractors listed below. Am looking to upgrade my L245 with a front end loader, and maybe an excavator at some point. Considering this tractor has zero defects, 700 hours, and AFAIK is 40 years old, am I planning on putting too much strain on a machine that has been pretty gently used? Would I be as well off to get another L245 that already has a front end loader? I am seeing used ones going for 3-4k with the FEL attached. Opinions? Thanks.

Also; what places online can you recommend for picking up used equipment?

If your L245 is in good shape and is 4wd, get a FEL for it, but then again if you can find another one cheap enough with a FEL already on it, if nothing else it could be a parts tractor! ;)

Craigs list is one of the best places for stuff like this.

Other than Craigslist, you may find these places helpful: West Kentucky tractor parts and Meyers of wengerstown (in PA)
