    Sweet taters

Get on Youtube and check out "Mel Bartholomew's SFG potatoes" incredible results. I just started some seed potatoes that way, so far it is going as planned.

Cheap remote lubrication or greasing idea.

I was thinking of an affordable way of lubricating the axis of a milling machine but this idea will work any where.

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

Where in Texas? I am in the Magnolia Conroe area.

Shout out to everyone with a grapple

It is amazingly useful. Unfortunately my FEL is much stronger than my baby tractor is stable. I must resist the temptation to overload it. Be very quick with the control, ready to drop. My plan is to build a cage that stiffens it up and adds more protection. Nice work btw.

    clutch problem on B1750 HST

Kubota sends a wooden block to keep the clutch pedal pressed down. A small piece of 2x4 placed under the floorboard would work too.

    aux lights set up ideas

I have those lights on the front and rear of my truck. They are unreal! Expensive for sure but you will not find a stronger light source. If you so much as turn them on momentarily at night, returning to standard high beams seems like the lights are off. Pure bright white light! In fact here is...

Shout out to everyone with a grapple

Exactly what RP said. It would take 2 hands and or more time. This is almost intuitive in use.

Shout out to everyone with a grapple

I am using the curl function of my loader. When I push the momentary button it diverts the flow of the hydraulics to a separate circuit, in my case the grapple. I believe this is referred to as a third function. The only negative is to remember the return to the middle position of the joystick...

Shout out to everyone with a grapple

I mounted my diverter on the arm that holds the joystick. That way everything comes off as a single assembly. The motorcycle brake light switch ( the mechanical kind used in rear brakes) which is cylindrical and has the wires sticking straight out, not at a 90 degree angle. Will be installed...

Shout out to everyone with a grapple

What are you using to control the grapple? I bought a diverter valve from Surplus Center and just use a simple switch (momentary pushbutton, to be replaced with a motorcycle brake light switch and a roll pin) it works great. Much less expensive than the WR Long kit.

Shout out to everyone with a grapple

Yes I did get the green machines. The smallest model 20" IIRC. It is finished and plumbed now, this was a pic during lay out.

Shout out to everyone with a grapple

I did not use the flow restrictors when installing my thumb kit. It works great. I haven't crushed but the most rotted of logs. I did receive the restrictors just opted not to use them yet/ or maybe ever.

Add on grapple for a B5200 with FEL?

Ok here it is. This is just a function test. Which it passed quite well. I need to paint the brackets, clean up the wiring and I have an idea for the stalk mounted switch that will work great and be inexpensive. http://youtu.be/Iloh4sgL1kY

    B7100 ROPS mounting

Here are the pics. If you do find a ROPS for 150, let me know too! Though I fully plan to modify this one.

    B7100 ROPS mounting

My B5200 has a steel box like section that bolts around the PTO shaft area and extends upward. Can post a pic tomorrow.

    ANBO Grapple $$

Green machines "thumb" kit is an excellent option if you aren't familiar with them. I just got my little 20" kit for 430 dollars to my door. Took 3 days. I still need the lines, switch and diverter/3rd function valve. But I will come out under 700 dollars on the complete unit.

    Roll Bar Wiring

Spent a decade running wiring for networks. I too have used the crossbow trick in commercial spaces. Now back to something equally as hot, yard work.

Add on grapple for a B5200 with FEL?

I can't wait. Tonight I am strengthening the top of the bucket with some 2x3 tubing. The valve isn't here yet, so that will be on hold. Then some lines will need to be made.

Add on grapple for a B5200 with FEL?

As an update. I ordered and received a "thumb" from Green Machines. It is a 20" that came with all mounting hardware and the cylinder. It did not come with the bolts to attach it to your bucket as there could be a variety of mounting options. I also ordered a 12v selector valve from...
