ANBO Grapple $$

I like the looks of the anbo grapple with the teeth that stick down below the bucket that you could use to dethatch or get some small roots out but wow there pricey. Quoted $1500 Plus freight.
Guess I'm still leaning toward a home built unit, I need a excuse to add a plasma cutter to the shop anyway.

$1500 actually isn't a bad price. And after you buy yaself a plasma cutter and some steel you might have well just bought the grapple.

If you have the time, go for the home built. There is an endless list of things you can make and do with that welder, and you will save a bundle on every one of them. Plus the fun factor!! I've done an awful lot with a buzz box welder, drill press, cut off grinder and hydraulic press, all for about $800 in today's dollars! And I get to use it all at least once a month!

Green machines "thumb" kit is an excellent option if you aren't familiar with them.
I just got my little 20" kit for 430 dollars to my door. Took 3 days. I still need the lines, switch and diverter/3rd function valve. But I will come out under 700 dollars on the complete unit.

I emailed anbo for price, they actually recommended one step up from the basic unit.

34" BGS is what they recommended. $1750 with diverter valve + freight
